I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to DM Eric V and the incredible players who have played a pivotal role in pulling me out of a deep and dark spiral of depression. As a COVID ICU nurse, the past few years have been incredibly challenging, both physically and emotionally. I felt trapped in a cycle of despair until I took a chance and joined this remarkable Dungeons and Dragons community. Since becoming a part of this group, alongside my regular therapy sessions, I have experienced a remarkable transformation. DND has become a powerful catalyst for my healing journey, allowing me to slowly but surely re-engage with the outside world. Previously, leaving the confines of my home filled me with overwhelming fear and anger, burdened by intrusive thoughts and images. However, with the support and camaraderie of this community, I now find myself embarking on adventures beyond my wildest imagination. I can explore the breathtaking tulip farms alongside my goddaughter, reveling in the joy of nature. I can even savor a graduation dinner at a fine restaurant without being plagued by the crippling anger and fear that once consumed me. The impact of DM Eric V and the compassionate players cannot be overstated. They have created a safe and inclusive space where I have felt truly seen, heard, and valued. Through their imaginative storytelling, they have helped me rediscover the strength and resilience within myself. Great at setting the mood and in their homebrew world. You can tell they truly care about the players and is very good with beginning players. Very active and easy to talk to on the discord server. We do Stars and Wishes at the end of the night to improve for the next time and celebrate the good times that were had!
