About me
I like playing games that are heavy on role-play and interplay between characters. I'm a fan of heavy consequences, hard decisions, and tragedy. I absolutely adore dark and twisted themes/content; my fav genres would be cosmic horror, psychological horror, spooky/creepy/fear-inducing vibes.

Great Session 0! Safety tools were talked about, players were introduced, we jumped right in to character creation and were given the flexibility to be creative, but also supported with ideas or creative promptings when we got stuck. Really excited to see where this game takes us. What a great way to start a campaign!
Session 4: I don't know what elder gods Leland sold his soul to in exchange for his incredible GM-ing skills, but I'm both monumentally jealous and looking to set up a meeting with them – 1 soul for sale! Four sessions in and I can confidently say that I look forward to our game nights EVERY SINGLE WEEK. The other collaborative storytellers in the group are incredible, but every player who has experienced different GMs knows that the environment, vibe, and scenarios that the GM curates either really help you flourish as a group, or stifle/smother you. Leland knocks it out of the park week after week. His pacing is top tier – I love that he reads the group well and gives us space to roleplay because creating those interpersonal moments are very important to us, but he also sets up those scenarios with intention and purpose. He is so great at "Yes, and..."-ing in-the-moment player decisions; it really is a collaborative storytelling experience. What a joy to have found this group. And 'ya boi' (yes, this is me being pop-culture-relateable, maybe?) is absolutely killer at doing cliff-hangers and those fast swaps between absolute, unadulterated, laughing-your-ass-off moments to oh-shit-tension-spike moments. If you're reading this and feel jealous, you should be – and the Join Adventure button is waiting for you. ------------------- Session 0: Leland is a fun, energetic, inclusive, and prepared GM! We just had a session 0 and I was impressed by how prepared he was, how easily and fluidly he made everyone feel comfortable, and how much he stepped back and let players bounce ideas off of each other - yet was also willing to politely step in and offer suggestions if needed. He kept things moving while also making sure everyone had the space to express their ideas and wants. He included break times and honored them (super important to a fellow ADHD'er like me!) and also kept to the session time slot, all while having great pacing and creating a really fun environment. If this is how fun session 0 is, I can't wait for session 1 :)
Laine is a super fun, prepared, laid-back DM who always emphasizes character actions and choice. Laine is great at setting up safety tools and a safe atmosphere, and creating an atmosphere where players, even if strangers, feel connected quickly. For anyone who loves horror and creepiness, Laine's got your vibe! If you're a total beginner and want to learn a new system, Laine is calm, patient, takes time to explain systems, and realizes that stories don't need to fit rulesets, but rather rules can bend a bit to make the story the focus - which I love. Laine also is an amazing world builder - so be prepared for NPCs to have headshots, backgrounds, wants, needs, etc. (And watch out for the "nice old man" who is never a "nice old man"! Spoilers? ;) )
