I contacted Ash as a home for some characters my girlfriend and I had been playing. She took us in, and folded us into her world like we had always belonged there. We have a terrific group of Roleplayers and spent most of our whole first session in RP. We played for almost 4 hours and got one combat in. Ash knows the rules and is not only unafraid to work with a player she actively seeks out ways to make your character more closely fit the vision you have for them. It was a terrific group, and a terrific game. Looking forward to a long run.
Balancing a level 20 arena and keeping it moving is really challenging. Go too hard and it's a TPK, go too easy and it's a cake walk with this power level. Randal threads that needle like a pro. He knows the rules, knows the abilities, knows the items and the spells without slowing the game down. He keeps the waves on a timer so you never get so bogged down you miss the big boss. He also has the most brilliant way I've seen to make sticky players. Each game has rewards players get to pull forward into future games. This alone makes you want to keep coming back. Highly reccomend.
Taylor's game was great. I've played in a lot of online games. I've never seen an online D&D game use minis and battle maps. Taylor made this flawless. The game itself was filled with intrigue and allowed for RP and Battle opportunities. It was challenging and you felt like your skills and choices had a direct impact on the game. I bought an extra seat for a friend of mine who is unable to speak. Taylor rolled with this like a pro. I was very impressed with his game and we were both interested in seeing how the rest of the story played out!
