About WorldDancer

Hello Adventurers! My name is WorldDancer though in the offline realm, I go by Micah. I’m 26 years old and have been immersed in the world of tabletop games since I was ten. I stepped behind the screen as a Game Master at fourteen and I’ve never looked back. Dungeons & Dragons 5e is where I’ve earned my deepest experience. I’ve helmed multiple runs of Dungeon of the Mad Mage and Descent into Avernus, as well as countless homebrew campaigns set in my meticulously crafted, decade-old world. In this evolving setting, each player decision leaves lasting consequences, shaping the world’s history and future. My one-shots explore that world’s lore uncovering how ruins fell to dust, how legends rose and faded, and why certain tales were lost to time. My 2nd experienced system is Cyberpunk Red, where I’ve run 10+ one-shots and three full campaigns of fifteen sessions each. I also have a wealth of experience in other systems, including Only War and Avatar Legends RPG. Lately, my personal favourite to run has been the Pokémon Roleplaying Game, blending nostalgia, adventure, and collaborative storytelling into something truly special. Whether it’s a high-stakes political drama, a neon-soaked cyberpunk heist, or a whimsical journey through a world of Pokémon, I tailor every campaign to my players characters, ensuring an unforgettable and deeply personal experience.

People are always surprised when I tell them

I am fluent in Australian Sign Language. My hearing is my strongest sense, and it seems to throw people off that I have a deep knowledge of the language

When I'm not running games I'm...

My time in the offline world is usually spent working, gaming or at the gym. I joined a boxing gym to understand the mechanics of the human body when running combat scenarios for my players. Safe to say, a good portion of my life is in the world of TTRPG.

How WorldDancer runs games

Storytelling is my passion, and roleplay is at the heart of every game I run. I give players space to explore characters and stories that excite them, shaping each campaign around their choices and preferences. Every game begins with a Session 0 to set expectations and ensure the story feels personal. I love running both long-term campaigns and snappy one-shots—perfect for quick adventures, testing characters, or welcoming new players. While roleplay drives the story, I also bring tactical, cinematic combat to the table. Battles are designed to challenge players, reward creativity, and feel like thrilling set-pieces in the larger narrative. I keep rules simple, focus on fun, and always prioritize safety with consent tools and open discussion. My goal is to create meaningful arcs, satisfying outcomes, and plenty of unforgettable moments shaped by player choice.

I once ran a session...

Where a table rule we had was every creature could deal at least 1 point of damage. I learned very quickly how deadly chickens can be. I once ran a session where 300 chickens killed a young red dragon in a singular turn of combat The rule was then changed for the rest of the campaign.

WorldDancer's ideal table

The most important part of my table is the rule of cool. If you can think it, you can do it! This generally keeps quite a jovial atmosphere at my tables where everyone has fun! I love crafting stories that have impacts on the world I have built, the decisions you make have a grand effect and can even effect the situation other one-shots and campaigns in the same world!

I love it when a player

Gets creative with their solutions!

I think min/maxing...

has it's place if the campaign/one-shot does not have a serious vibe.
