About me

Experienced fantasy/comedy writer and budding GM helping others get into tabletop. My experience as a writer, along with studies on plot and character development and stage experience as an actor and singer, are all put here in service of telling you a story that's memorable and creating a world where you'll be the protagonist. All of my experience and knowledge is at your disposal, and new players will receive guidance not only on how to create characters, but how to better develop them into full, believable people I specialize in bringing out the funny, the quirky, and the odd in campaigns. Reacting to players' actions isn't only a part of the job for me, but my favorite part of it - creating situations and shaping the storyline between the players and the GM is the heart of tabletop roleplaying. If you're laughing or surprised, I've done my work. If you can come out of my table having learned the rules of the game and becoming a fine roleplayer, I've done my work. All my games are LGBTQ+ friendly, and my tables are safe spaces where people from all walks of life are welcome.

GM style

Storyline is king in my tables, and my style is very openly rules-light. Everything that happens has to, in one form or another, serve storyline and character development. The deeper the players at my table can get into their characters, the better the result and the fun for everyone will be. My comedic side is always present, so expect strange situations to pop out of nowhere - and also expect me to run with any hijinks your characters create, I thrive in it. All my games are friendly to newcomers, and I will never shy away from explaining a rule, a mechanic, or even how to use certain tools for roleplaying. If you need someone to help or teach you, I'm here. As your DM, you can contact me at any time with questions or inquiries and I'll answer - and if needed, we can set up chats outside sessions where I can help you with any game or engine questions you have. Inclusiveness isn't expected, but demanded at my tables. I expect my players to not only be accepting and respectful to people of all walks of life - particularly minorities - but to understand how those differences can affect our experiences in this world. Those who display self awareness and for whom empathy is a way of life are particularly welcome to play with me. We all need to surround ourselves with people open to understanding and lend us a hand when needed, and it is my goal to build a community of like-minded people who can all sit together and enjoy.
