About Tim Preston
The magic and adventure of TTRPGs have become a central part of my life. I was introduced to D&D a few years ago, and since then have been an avid player and GM of a numerous amount of games ranging from D&D to Candela Obscura, Homebrew game mechanics, and recently I've even started to branch into TTRPGs like Cowboy Bebop, Anime 5e, and more! I love the creativity and narrative excellence that comes from a strong group of minds around a table, and cannot wait to share what I can imagine with you!

The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Descriptive, Engaging, and Immersive (likely due to the sound effects and voices I bring to the game thanks to my setups and my voice acting ability!)
How Tim Preston runs games
My GM style is always narrative focused. I encourage creativity above all else when at the table, and ensure to my players that I will work through and ideas they have to either make them happen...or have them fail in a satisfying and entertaining way! Since story is king in my games, each session is balanced between tactical combats of varied stakes, and lore developing roleplay sessions where players have a chance to either discern unknown truths about the story at hand, or be thrust into an unexpected turn of events that further grows the narrative overall. I want each person at my table to experience the joy and the passion of storytelling, and with that focus I am always happy to develop and work through ideas with players so that they have as much freedom to be bold as they need!
Tim Preston's ideal table
My ideal table is a room (or Discord call) full of creative and bold minds who are seeking a fun, thrilling, and compelling narrative story to unfold with every game! Whether it's a one shot, or a full campaign I want my players to come ready to make bold choices, take big risks, and charge forward into their epic tale trusting me to guide them along the journey (the mechanics of your creativity are a GMs job to figure out after all).

I love it when a player
commits fully to their character's identity and makes choices and moves in game that are in character completely...even if it might not be the most beneficial thing for their personal success. An example is how Grog Strongjaw has an inability to not pull from the Deck of Many Things!
