About The Dice Dragon
Hello There! (totally not Obi-Wan's quote...) My name is Dorian and I thrive to specialize in Dungeon Mastering with an emphasis on role-playing and immersive story telling! Once I discovered my passion for acting/role-playing in theater, since the age of 15, I naturally fell in love with the DM helm. I fell into it out of pure chance. "Hey do you wanna try out this game? Could be fun?" Well, yeah we can probably figure out what happened after. If you're thinking about booking your humble Dice Dragon as your GM, here's a few things to know. I would say my specialty is immersive story-telling through my voice acting and love for weaving your backstories into the narrative.(I love the extensive backstories!) Showing appropriate consequences to the player's actions, to be integral to the setting. I lean on the side of drama/emotional, but I like to sprinkle in comedy when it's appropriate. For note takers, I drop in little "Easter eggs" for my campaigns that will come up later, for some awesome moments! If you enjoy role-playing, intense combat, and immersing yourself into the world, then I'm your GM! I also create my own "conversions" of role-playing systems for my home game, so that I can better understand the games I run. Now, using all the skills I learned over the years, I'm dedicated to creating awesome stories with you all! Let's make the jump to light-speed to epic adventures!

How The Dice Dragon runs games
My style is all into role play and diving into player character backstories and weaving them into the heart of the story. I highly enjoy character development and progression as every moment in my games matter for your characters and how they perceive the world around them. I love doing voices for each of my characters, to give each character personality and feel different. As a player, you'll grow connected and will likely enjoy interacting with each one. I absolutely enjoy combat as a heavy drama and nail biting experience, as a player you’ll care deeply about the characters around you and the consequences that could happen to the world that your in. I am more heavy on role play, but I use combat to build and put pressure on the story and have an impact on your decisions. I implement some home brew rules, using the rules as a base. I make sure I play-test these rules so that they are fair(in home games lol), only to add more intensity to the experience like combat. I love creating worlds and the history to them, as I feel it adds to the experience as a player making it feel much more alive and exciting! Respect and Communication are huge to me, as I believe it’s my responsibility to make sure everyone feels comfortable at “the table”. When available, we can talk either in voice chat or text via discord about character backstories and the world or any other questions or concerns as well!

When it comes to voices
I do my very best to do voices! Some voices in particular I got down! But others I'm still working on. I don't always rely on changing the voice, but also the mannerisms, and something you can remember them by!
The Dice Dragon's ideal table
I would say the type of players at my tables, all have one thing in common. All are invested in their characters & the story at hand. They know I will have integrity in upholding consequences based on what they do. Both good & well... not so good. They are not required to be *fantastic* role-players, though it helps, but as long as they try and give it their best try! The vibes? We get invested into the story, we have some laughs, sometimes a lot depending, then some tears lol. But really? We have fun, you don't have to be a "certain" type of player to have fun. Think of my table as "amateur Critical Role Vibes", is probably the best way to put it!

Are Over-controlling, won't let players be themselves or just toxic. They will not be tolerated. It can be a total vibe killer.

It is great for the players who enjoy that, but there is nothing wrong with playing a character that is "not strategically sound", and they are doing it for the character. Sometimes the best characters are like this. There is always a situation were someone will shine!
