About Sunny

Hi! I'm Sunny, a professional Game Master with ten years of experience running diverse TTRPGs, including the Kids on Bikes series, Monster of the Week, and Dungeons & Dragons. I got started GMing...

about 7 years ago when I fell in love with a recently released game called Kids on Bikes. I had met one of the writers and decided that a storyline I had been writing was perfect for it. I ran it for some friends in a rinky-dink loft above my parents garage. The way that campaign ended still wows me

My favorite shows/movies are

action packed and overly dramatic first responder shows. Ones where crazy unrealistic situations and disasters happen. Ones where you fall in love with the characters and sob when something happens to them. Shows like 911, the rookie, the resident, etc.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Creative, Passionate, Mysterious

How Sunny runs games

I specialize in designing and running high-quality, immersive experiences that go beyond the dice roll. My sessions are built around collaborative storytelling, featuring challenging ethical dilemmas, deep character development, and unique opportunities for personal empowerment. I excel at facilitating an environment where players can build trust, explore their personal beliefs, and engage in meaningful problem-solving.

I once ran a session...

with 8 players that ran for 9 hours. It was insane and chaotic. It was an insane amount of fun and the players had a blast but I won't ever do it again.

My games focus on...

challenging my players. Making them think and solve problems. I encourage them to work together and think outside the box. I like challenging morals and giving them hard choices.

Rules are...

necessary but flexible. I try and stick by my interpretation of the rules but there are going to be times where rule of cool is the way to go. My job is to make sure my players are having fun, if a rule prevents that, I alter it to suit our purpose.

I love it when a player

surprises me. I love when players make spicy choices. It means I can flip the script, give them cool things, or reveal insane plot twists. It gives me the chance to improv and think on my feet.

My table is not the place for...

aggressive behavior and purposefully ruining other's fun. I don't tolerate that behavior and I will politely ask the aggressive player to leave. If they refuse, I will kick them and report them.
