Well hello! Name's David - SideQuestNPC on almost everything online. Coolest nerd you'll ever meet and, oh yeah, I'm a proud Forever DM. Throughout the years I pursued a career in filmmaking, a dream from my early teens. I've also done loads of Youtube content creating, live streaming on Twitch & YT, podcasting, writing, improv, and voice acting. Now that I've reprioritized what I want to do for a living, I've really come to realize that DM/GMing really flexes all my talents and interests into one role that I truly get a tremendous amount of joy and fulfillment from. So here I am, putting myself out there to carve my new path into a really exciting future.

I became a GM because
There are worlds that lived only in my head for decades. I pursued filmmaking (directing, writing, producing) for 2 decades and now I'm bringing that desire to tell those stories and share those worlds with players, and together we create an even better story in these worlds.
How SideQuestNPC runs games
I have decades of experience in acting, theatrical and voice. I absolutely love improv so I'm always ready for whatever players throw at me. That being said, my style is what I call "Bethesda Style". I create the world, factions, characters, events, and so on and then allow the group to venture in whatever direction they want. I hold the world and the adventure above all else. With my love for geography, history, and cultures, I create worlds that feel more than just alive but also inviting to the players. Game system rules are great and I do hold them highly, however rule of cool does take over in the best possible way. It all has to make sense, y'know, narratively and logically. It's all about having fun right?
