About Osman Syed (Oz)
My name is Osman Syed, age 27 and I am a forever GM! I have Autism and ADHD and I use that energy to make the best possible games for my players. I have been a forever GM for a very long time now! I love playing board games, tabletop games, videoo games and MTG! Overall I am a huge nerd! As of late (for about 4-5 years now) I have been GMing for Gehenna Gaming at conventions such as Pax Unplugged, Pax East, and Gen Con! At these conventions I have gmed a wild variety of games and I've even learned some so that I can GM them at these cons! Some of these games that I have GMed at conventions are: VTM, Eldritch Automata, Mork Borg, Pirate Borg, Vast Grimm, and Kids on Bikes. Outside of these games I have of course GMed DnD for years! My style is very much improv GM! I tend to make stuff up following an outline! My first and foremost objective is making sure that my players have fun! My objective is to tell a story with my players and I try to accomplish that as much as possible. Also at my tables I employ safety tools to make sure that everyone enjoys themselves and is comfortable at my tables.

I got started GMing...
Back in high school. I was always a nerd with TCG games and when I discovered TTRPG's I fell in love and soon after I began GMing one-shots and then campaigns when I hit university
People are always surprised when I tell them
that most of the things I create are off the dome. I create things on the fly and can yes and (no and) my players quite well.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...

I love to roleplay and I believe that every aspect of the game can have roleplay. Of course there is always a need for combat so I love to make sure that there is a good balance between these two. Of course I encourage my players to roleplay during combat as well in order to enhance the combat. I love to add puzzles when I can and I try and pull emotions out of my players when possible. As stated earlier I am an improv GM so I do not plan out every detail but I tend to have an outline of what I want to accomplish in that session or campaign/on shot and that is what I use to keep me on track

I once ran a session...
at Pax Unplugged where I had about 8 people and it was a ton of fun! I absolutely love GMing for a bunch of people, the more the merrier!
I prep by
gathering my thoughts, my dice, and making sure my outline is good to go. But more important then all that is blasting some good pre-session music to get me in the mood.
Rules are...
are more what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules" I think rules are meant to be bent to the enjoyment of everyone and to tell a better story
Osman Syed (Oz)'s ideal table
My table is filled with creative individuals who are there to play the game but also have fun. They are "serious" about the game but know how to adjust their playstyle for to others. Of course new people are always welcome and I love leading new players to becoming amazing players! The vibe at my table is: "Come enjoy and have fun!"

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
having a fun and creative experience where you and I (the GM) weave a story together to have a fun and enjoyable time!
I love it when a player
breaks my game in a creative way. Nothing excites me more than seeing my players come up with creative solutions to whatever problem is in front of them be it a puzzle or combat.
My table is not the place for...
people who are there to just "play their character" and not interact with the world and more importantly the other players. If you say "that's what my character would do" and use that as an excuse to not play well with the others at the table then my table isn't for you.
