About Scott
Lifelong involvement with TTRPGs. I have met the best people in this hobby and have cultivated a great group of gamers, some of whom I have gamed with for 20+ years. I DM one weekly-streamed campaign (Dicey Decisions on Twitch) and I DM and play in several other bi-weekly games. I encourage Proactive Roleplaying from my players and encourage new players to hop on in and learn. Inclusivity is key to a great time at the TTRPG table and paramount to my DM style.

My favorite system of all Time is
now Daggerheart as I love the combination of collaborative storytelling with the hope and fear mechanic.

How Scott runs games
Inclusivity and immersion are what I strive for at my tables. I believe the game is best experienced as a mixture of role play, exploration, and tactics, interwoven as an ebb and flow of experiences. Proactive Roleplaying is my newest passion, placing the players in control of the direction of the narrative, as opposed to the typical "bad thing is gonna happen, heroes need to respond". Check out The Gamemaster's Handbook of Proactive Roleplaying by Jonah and Tristan Fishel.

My games focus on...
the narrative. I prefer to has us craft the most enjoyable story together.
Rules are...
a great starting point and reference guide to allow for the table to have common ground on where to start crafting their story from.
When it comes to voices
I lean on some old performance classes taken years ago. I try even if I am not always consistent.
Scott's ideal table
My ideal table has lots of laughs as we enjoy each other's exploration of the narrative story we collectively tell. I also love the occasional deep dive into highly dramatic role playing if the players are interested in going there.

I love it when a player
digs deep into their character 's motivations and back stories to make choices that feel real and genuine to the moment.
I think it's a red flag when players...
tell other players how to play their characters. Note this is different from assisting others when asked.
My table is not the place for...
gatekeeping of any kind. We all deserve the seat at the table.
