About me
Lifelong involvement with TTRPGs. I have met the best people in this hobby and have cultivated a great group of gamers, some of whom I have gamed with for 20+ years. I DM one weekly-streamed campaign (Dicey Decisions on Twitch) and I DM and play in several other bi-weekly games. I encourage Proactive Roleplaying from my players and encourage new players to hop on in and learn. Inclusivity is key to a great time at the TTRPG table and paramount to my DM style.
GM Style
Inclusivity and immersion are what I strive for at my tables. I believe the game is best experienced as a mixture of role play, exploration, and tactics, interwoven as an ebb and flow of experiences. Proactive Roleplaying is my newest passion, placing the players in control of the direction of the narrative, as opposed to the typical "bad thing is gonna happen, heroes need to respond". Scott is an excellent GM that cares a great deal about his players and their experience at the table. He is warm and welcoming, knows the rules well, and also knows when to break them in service of the story. From groups just starting out to experienced players, Scott is a great GM for all skill levels.
Scott is one of my favorite DMs! His experience with the game and being a GM make him an amazing resource for newer players and seasoned veterans alike. Scott has always been willing to listen to an idea and help me figure out what rolls I could make to see that play out as well as help me when I don't understand exactly how a mechanic works. What is great about Scott's games is his ability to balance what his players are looking for - I love to roleplay more than I care about combat and for others at the table it may be the opposite feelings. Scott does an amazing job as a GM to make sure that we get a good mix of both roleplaying opportunities as well as combat so that everyone at the table is excited to play. I also love Scotts go-with-the-flow attitude. I wanted to befriend our local shopkeeper and so Scott has built in almost a mini story line for the NPC that I know was unplanned. It's little things like that that make playing TTRPGs so much fun. If you're looking for someone who has a great sense of humor, isn't a rules lawyer, and is all around a great GM-- Scott's your guy!
