About Yuthika "Fey"
I am a nerd. First and foremost, a nerd. I began playing games in 1986. As I was raised in Asia, my first RPG was Call of Cthulhu, followed by Sword World. Japanese table talk roleplaying games. Similar in taste to early DND Sword World was just Japanese Fantasy lifted from anime and manga, and Call of Cthulhu was just the Japanese penchant to lost imported American horror. The games changed me, they led to novels, Manda, RPGs, and more TTRPGs in amounts that shocked me .once I found a pen pal in the US I would send him VHS tapes of Anime and he would send me TTRPGs from American game stores. That was how I got my first DnD Rulescyclopedia, my first edition of Rifts, WEG Star Wars, Vampire, Werewolf, Shadowrun, Cybergen... It made me a true fan of the genre. By 12 I was a forever GM. Now at nearly 46 I have been Gaming games for 34 years. I run a rules second, players, first rule of cool,OSR feeling game. I don't railroad and I create sandboxes whether or not I have a hexmap. Of late I have been exploring the plethora of new and independent games that have been about and I want to share my passion at the table with others here. I am also a game designer and 3d modeler for TTRPGs and my flagship system Visions : Suaykalpa is due to release via Kickstarter this December.

I got started GMing...
at age 12 in Japan, I fell in love with telling stories collaboratively. The Japanese style of TTJRPGs called "table-talk games," heavily influenced my GM style and shaped me into the GM I am today. I value collaboration at the table, and enjoy creating harmonious adventure scenarios with others.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Descriptive, Engaging, and Creative. They would likely follow that with a appreciation for the love I pour into my games. It could be said that GMing to allow others to immerse themselves in characters is one of my social love languages. I enjoy seeing or hearing glee in my players. It Sparks Joy.
When I'm not running games I'm...
writing my Flagship TTRPG Product Suaykalpa. A TTJRPG Powered by Fabula Ultima. As a half-Japanese gamer residing in Thailand I wanted to develop a game with authentic voices writing authentic content. Suaykalpa is heavily Thai influenced. If I am not running games or writing, I am playing games.
How Yuthika "Fey" runs games
When gaming with me, you can expect rich characterization, voice acting, roleplaying, rule of cool, roleplay about roll play, immersion, a tendency towards sandbox with hooks. That is to say I value a rich immersive world that let's my players drive the plot. Overarching narratives and factions are present. Time will march on without you, hooks will expire. The worlds I weave live and breath. They are not static. I tend to avoid kick in the door and loot style hack and slash unless a 1 shot is devised for it. I always run a session 0. I always ensure I know where boundaries lie. Adult themes remain in games where we have all opted in and can always opt out at any point. I do not tie myself to systems or rulesets. Rule 0 if it is impedes fun we nix it. Games are to me an escape to get away from the world we live in. This they tend to be noblebright or Grimdark with slivers of hope. Our world can be dark. Games should be a relief from that.

My games focus on...
Roleplaying and immersion. I love to help others find themselves immersed in their characters and if I rated the pillars they would go Roleplay, Exploration, and Combat. I do not despise combat, but I am not a combat focused gamemaster. Combat should enhance player experiences in my opinion.
Rules are...
Rules are meant as guidelines, if they get in the way of my players enjoyment, I will opt for a Rule of Cool. However, I do value system rules as they help us all find common ground, but they do not come before my players' joy. I never arbitrarily shift rulings once established for consistency.
When it comes to voices
I love voices. I'm a voice actress who has worked in video games and anime, so I find voices to be one of the things that I do memorably. I love to create memorable characters for players. As a trilingual (EN/JP/TH) I can couch voices in different different dialectal tones to increase immersion.
Yuthika "Fey"'s ideal table
My table is a place of collaborative storytelling. My GMing style was forged in Tabletalk RPG gaming which is what we call TTRPGs in Japan. My tables tend to be roleplay heavy and use action as a means of enhancing storytelling. That isn't to say combat is ignored, but it should fit the story we are telling as a group. I am not a kick doors down and loot the treasure GM. Players who enjoy deep immersive storylines, satisfying growth arcs and immersive environments with notable voiced NPCs will find my table a welcoming place. I live in Thailand and thus I am very open and friendly to people of all persuasions. My games are a place of joy, and discord at the table is discouraged. I game with players who are over 18 only, this is to avoid issues with themes and maturity differentials. In my 9-5 I am an educator with a PhD in Psychology so I tend to leverage the skills gained in classroom management with my history as a voice performer in Anime and Video Games to create memorable experiences.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
If you're into roleplay and immersion, you are going to love my table. II work hard to ensure that players find themselves in a world filled with flavor and color. Love exploring the depths of your character and having memorable arcs, you will love my table and find yourself happy in my groups.
I love it when a player
I love it when a player gets so in to their character that their emotional immersion is palpable and tangible. I love it when players want to reminisce gushingly over an experience they had. Communicative players who are open to giving me feedback to bring my best for them are greatly appreciated.
I think metagaming...
Has a time and a place, it is discouraged when it will be detrimental to the experience and encouraged in as much as being accepted when it will assist players in collaborating memorable scenes and moments. Each group is slightly different and this is always covered in Session 0 in my games.
