About Nomadic Storyteller
The Story Comes First. My journey with tabletop games began with the Red Box edition, and my passion for these worlds has only grown since. I see the role of the GM as a weaver of stories, creating a space where you can step out of your daily routine and into a hero's shoes. Not to say the hero's shoes can't be heavy at times. About myself: I consider myself a bit of an "old soul"; I’m down-to-earth, a patient listener, and I believe the game is a collaborative journey. I pride myself on being a friendly, patient GM who listens as much as I describe. I don't claim to know it all, and I love it when players bring new perspectives to the game. When it comes to the rules, I use them to support the fun, not hinder it. I utilize house rules to ensure our sessions are unique and memorable, always prioritizing the group's experience over rigid book-learning. If you’re looking for a grounded, thoughtful guide for your next adventure, I’d love to have you at my table.

How Nomadic Storyteller runs games
A Collaborative Mindset: I believe the table works best when we are all telling the story together. Come ready to support your fellow players! Patience & Kindness: Just as I will be patient with you as you learn a system or a new character, I ask for the same in return. We’re all here to have a good time, not to argue over page numbers. The "Escape" Factor: Please bring a positive attitude. We are here to take the weight of the world off our shoulders, so let’s keep the out-of-character energy friendly and welcoming. Communication: If you have a cool idea for your character or a concern about the game, tell me! My door is always open. When it comes to my Sessions or Game. Anything can go. its a dance. I well feed off your actions and energy of the group. But expect at anytime there could be high-stakes, puzzles, time limits and so on.
Nomadic Storyteller's ideal table
When you join one of my games, I want it to feel like meeting up with childhood friends. Even if we’ve just met, the goal is to create a space that feels like we’ve been playing together for years—a place to hang out, catch up, and get lost in a great story. The Atmosphere: Relaxed & Casual: My table is a low-stress environment. We take the game seriously, but we never take ourselves too seriously. The 'Great Escape': I strive for a vibe where you can leave the day's worries at the door. It’s about camaraderie, laughter, and shared adventure. A Seat for Everyone: I’m a patient listener and a welcoming guide. Whether you’re a 'Red Box' veteran like me or picking up the dice for the very first time, you’ll find a supportive home here. Who Fits Well Here? The players who thrive at my table are those who value the social side of TTRPGs as much as the tactical side. If you are looking for a table that is: Patient with rules and learning. Collaborative rather than competitive. Respectful of others’ time and enjoyment. ...then you’ll fit right in. If you want a game that feels like a weekly tradition with good friends, I’d love to have you roll with us."
