About Miranda | Mousemalo
Hey there! My name is Miranda, AKA Mouse, and I’ll be your game master! I’ve been playing and running TTRPG games for almost a decade now and doing so professionally for about half that time. I'm a storyteller at heart and nothing brings me more joy than creating stories with the help of every single one of my players. I am a loving and open individual that strives to create a comfortable and lighthearted environment for any who may wander to my table! 🏳️🌈♾️

I became a GM because
I wanted to tell stories and create memories with others. Working together with players to piece together a story that we all love and will all remember fondly for the rest of our lives, that is what made me want to GM and continues to push me deeper into the hobby to this day.
My favorite books are
The Dragonlance Chronicles, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Howl's Moving Castle + House of Many Ways. Just a general lover of cozy fantasy books and have been slowly moving my way into some sci-fi!
How Miranda | Mousemalo runs games
As a DM I focus on fun improv and tense, fast paced action. To me the most fun part of TTRPGs is letting players run wild and come up with their own solutions in the worlds I present to them, so player agency and creative freedom is top priority for me! I plan each session to have a good even sprinkle of roleplaying / social encounters, exploration / environmental challenges, and challenging but engaging combat. I always strive to recreate that casual face-to-face tabletop feel many of us started with and still love to this day.

My games focus on...
Narrative, character growth, cozy moments, exploration, and action. I love encouraging players to explore their character's story and intertwine them with the rest of the party. I also push people to find creative solutions to create tense and rewarding scenes with real stakes.
Rules are...
guidelines! Rules are there to help the narrative flow and create fun and challenging conflict, but I'm not afraid to bend them if it makes for a better experience. Whether a player comes up with a wildly creative idea, or a rule begins to bog down the experience, rules are meant to be broken!
Miranda | Mousemalo's ideal table
I try to keep my table a comfortable and welcoming environment. I'm an outwardly queer GM and my table and games reflect that. I strive to recreate that fun, casual, and sometimes silly experience of a bunch of nerdy friends sitting at a table together, with the added benefit of professional tools and an experienced GM to keep things running smoothly.

I love it when a player
Gets creative! Use spells for things they were never meant for, make zany plans that have no right to work, but are way too cool to pass up! Rules give us a good guideline on how to improvise and try new things, so go for it!
My table is not the place for...
Homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, or any other kind of bigotry / hate. My table is a safe environment for people from all walks of life.
