About Kale
Hi! I've been playing tabletop games for 4 years. I've ran and completed Multiple long form campaigns, through home games and also through Tulsa's Equality Center TTRPG group. I am at a table at least once a week, and am constantly doing prep work to make sure what my players May encounter is solid. love a game with stakes, but sometimes it's nice to have a beach episode or apply looney toon physics for a day. keyword skills I have are: time management, encounter design, storytelling, DJing, inter-personal conflict resolution. Player reviews: " (Kale) does a great job at noticing small details and making sure they get incorporated into story plots- things i would have forgotten about magically becoming important is so cool!" "Kale is my favorite GM! They are able to let the players play the game they want to play while keeping the story moving- without it feeling forced. Their knowledge helps me navigate the rules so i can execute what i envision my character doing. Kale is always focused on finding out what the player is looking to get out of the game, and somehow manages to roll it into a story. They put so much time and care into preparing each sessions and it's easy to get pulled into their world!"

How Kale runs games
Fun combat, character twists, multiple plot points, big interconnected plots with overarching themes. I love giving players something to think on- philosophically, emotionally, or logically! I love puzzles and mini games. I'm really bad at voices though. Every session is something a little different.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Noelle Stevenson (She Ra), Zach Hadel (Smiling Friends), Daniel Kwan (Everything, Everywhere, All At Ance), Masaaki Yuasa (Devilman Crybaby), Michael Dante Dimartino (Avatar: The Last aArbender)
Rules are...
purposeful- so we don't bulldoze over each other while playing. If you're powerful, everything is trivial. If you don't know what your character can do with their tools, you run risk of getting wiped out by a monster you should be able to take down. Rules AREN'T physics, that's where i come in.
Kale's ideal table
Players that would do best at my table are ones who can make and take a joke, get a little silly and whacks, but can button up and get serious when the tone changes. As a queer person, i don't shy away from non-conforming personas, situations, and non-normative culture- and neither should my players.

I love it when a player
Uses logic, intuition, and R.A.W to do things i could never expect or predict. i like the rules, but the book itself says that the rules aren't physics- and in that grey area do i like to play. Take big swings, risks, chances! if they swing too high i can always lower the floor or raise the ceiling.
I think metagaming...
Is a part of the game, the bad kind of metagaming everyone talks about is the immersion-breaking kind. asking what spells someone has or their ac is part of the game. Applying knowledge of the game that your character doesn't know without checking with the DM isn't.
