About Nick
I first started running a pathfinder 1e game in my junior year of highschool for my friends. When DND 5e was released that became my intro into focusing on being a better story teller and game master. I read each guide as thoroughly as I could and hand crafted each world I ran my sessions in. After a time I settled on one world in particular and have since been running a campaign that after 10+ years will be coming to an end. I have stories, not just made by me but made by the players at the table. Through ttrpgs I've met friends who have become family and forged bonds that will last well past my lifetime. My prime experience is with 5e but I'm hoping to expand that into many other systems, continuing to grow as a GM. I'm deeply into immersion and backstory development (which often takes a back seat in prewritten adventures I've found) weaving character history into any main thread plot has proven a wonderful challenge. I'm also a hobbyist cosplayer, armorer, and blacksmith. I find knowing what you're trying to relate often helps to strengthen immersion even more. I also make yearly trips to GaryCon to volunteer when time and funds permit.

How Nick runs games
My style of GMing currently a mix of both combat and RP leaning a little more towards RP. I try and include everyone's voice at the table as sometimes spirited players can talk over each other. I do my best to tell a compelling story but not past what my players are comfortable with. New and experienced players are welcome at my table, and I very much go by the rule of cool in regards to actions at the table. I like to try and give voices to characters, they might be terrible but I find it helps break the ice a bit. I trust my players right out of the gate unless I'm given a reason not to so don't cheat! Games are about having fun and that is my chief concern when I run a table.

I deal with rules issues by...
I allow 1 pass for accidental or unintentional rule breaking for major offenses and will address it at the table. After that I will eject players.
My games focus on...
I try to run a balanced table but will lean mostly on RP if I'm being honest. I do my best to make it engaging and speak to each player asking for everyone's opinion.
When it comes to voices
I do my best to give important NPCs distinct voices and accents. I find it helps with immersion if only a little. besides that I like doing goofy voices and growly voices for monsters and other fiends. I think it helps break the ice a little.
Nick's ideal table
My table is open to all, however I think those who treat their character as more than just stats will enjoy my games best. If you immerse yourself in the world you will enjoy yourself more in my games. I do try to keep an easy going adventure vibe as the game or scene allows, some dungeons are dark and warrant a dark atmosphere. All my players will be heard by me. If a session wasn't fun or I accidentally made a mistake I encourage my table to tell me so I can correct myself for next time.

I love it when a player
Thinks outside the box. I once stranded my table in a desert and they pooled their magic together to basically create a rocket train to get them back to civilization in a matter of hours. It was glorious.
I think min/maxing...
Min/maxing is fine for a personal character. But I am not for dictating how the party builds their characters. The moment you tell your teammates what to do is the moment I put my foot down.
My table is not the place for...
Active trolling or murder hoboing, I don't abide needless looting and NPC killing. I'm also not much for PVP unless the entire table allows it.
