About Jay
TL;DR: I’m a veteran GM with tons of experience, a library so massive it’s one bad Jenga move away from collapsing into a black hole, and an abiding love for TTRPG's. My shelves groan under the weight of frankly too many TTRPG books to be considered remotely reasonable: D&D 5e, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade, and rulebooks so obscure that saying their names aloud might summon the author. My games are built on rich worldbuilding and the ripple effects of player actions. And yes—for those who proudly choose “Chaotic Stupid” as their alignment—actions do have consequences. I love crafting worlds that breathe, react, and sometimes bite back, no matter the genre or story my players want to explore. I’ve run games for bachelor parties, a monk who achieved enlightenment, and a racoon on accident. My GM style is story-rich, descriptive, and deeply player-driven.

I got started GMing...
I started GMing at ten because my dad’s friend was an auther of a TTRPG, and I was a fantasy-obsessed gremlin who wanted to live in a world with dragons and fewer taxes. I played once, got hooked, and started DMing my friends so I could put them into the worlds I cooked up.
My favorite books are
The Name of the Wind (and its sequel—fingers crossed I live long enough to see the third one. Seriously, its so good. Read it.), literally anything by Tolkien, and Six of Crows.
My favorite system of all Time is
Tough call—I’ve played a ton, but Angelblood (now Chapter 22) wins for letting you build literally anything. The catch? About 50 people have heard of it. Meanwhile, "Everyone Is John" is pure comedy gold, and D&D? Classic, simple, and somehow still one of the best sandwiches in the RPG deli.
How Jay runs games
My games are built with way too much detail(Mostly because I love world building), but flexible enough to survive whatever player-shaped meteor lands in it. My I try to make my worlds like ecosystems where every choice leaves a footprint, or a crator if your named Tim(If your seeing this Tim, never play a monk in my game again, love you). You can follow plot hooks, or you can ignore them completely and decide the goblin innkeeper is now the central figure in your epic quest. I’m descriptive to a fault, like its a problem. Im trying to go cold turkey but the tremors arn't good for my art. If I get distracted I will make “you opening the door” feel like a cinematic event. I do obey the Rule of Cool so if something is funny I will let it happen. And above all else, I put player agency first. I’m here to make the world react to you, to surprise you, and to laugh with you when you TPK after doing something because you "Thought it would be funny".

My games focus on...
Fantasy, world-building, rich descriptions, and storytelling that spotlights players and their wants more than anything else. I build my games around player backstories, making sure every character gets their moment to shine.
Rules are...
Guidance, not holy scripture carved into the bones of the earth. Fun and creativity are the real gods at my table. Of course, that doesn’t mean the the rules go straight into the abyss—they’re still important. Balance is the magic word. Too much rules-lawyering and you’re just doing math homework.
When it comes to voices
Brace yourself. I live for improv, do stupid voices, and have absolutely shredded my vocal cords trying to sound like a gravel-eating troll. There’s also a 97% chance I’ll forget what that NPC sounded like four sessions ago and just pretend they had a dramatic throat injury.
Jay's ideal table
My ideal table’s a mix of creativity, improv, and the occasional shenanigan—basically, if you love roleplaying your heart out and can roll with the punches (literally in some cases... well like in game iterally. I'm not going to punch you.), you’ll fit right in. I’m all about collaboration and storytelling, plus I love players who can make me laugh.

I am for a vibe that's...
Chill, Laid back, welcoming, and fun. The vibe is perfect when everyone’s cracking up and having a blast.
I love it when a player
Really dives into roleplay—even in the heat of combat. Picture spitting witty one-liners at enemies, painting vivid scenes of their actio, and interacting with other players. Bonus points for players who take the initiative with their character's growth.
I think metagaming...
Is a cardinal sin I am guilty of. Chances are I wont notice it if its something small. But If its noticable and frequent I might have a talk with you.
