About Josh

Hi, I'm Josh, and I've got over 10 years of acting and improv experience under my belt, as well as four years of stand-up comedy, and I love to roll with the punches and make sure that my players get to enjoy THEIR story! I've been roleplaying since I was a kid, and have been running games as the GM for the last five years, and I love nothing more than a fun adventure with twists and turns and engaging characters. Everything I run comes straight from the imagination, no AI generation or language learning models here to get in the way of a good time. I manage a production company in Wyoming that specializes in horror and comedy films, and we run a yearly independent film festival in Cheyenne! Let's hang out, roll some dice, and take your characters to new worlds and settings!

How Josh runs games

I'm here to bring you engrossing adventures that are lead by player decisions, memorable characters, and a well rounded balance of memorable combat, in depth roleplaying, and intricate plots! I excel at making the characters you encounter come to life and making sure that your mark is left on the game world. My years of acting and improvisation experience will make sure that you never see the next twist and every NPC has their own voice, goals, and motivations, and to make sure that everyone has a wonderful time in these immersive worlds!

Josh's ideal table

My table always has a fun first approach. If you're not having a good time, I'm not doing my job right! Sandbox is my preferred game type, and I'm not a fan of railroading players, instead giving them the freedom to do side missions or main quests at their leisure. I like to roll with the punches and am great at improvising both scenarios and characters, and use my years of experience as both an improv actor and a film actor to give NPCs a unique voice. I love to have both experienced and new players at my table, and love to work with my party to craft memorable sessions and worlds that have the party's mark on them.

Gets into their character. Character building is key to any great adventure, and being able to implement their background and wants into a campaign really makes it come alive.

Cross boundaries of other players. If someone isn't comfortable with a topic and someone tries to push them into it, it makes the game a worse experience for everyone.

My perfect party mix is

A mixture of experienced players and newcomers with a fresh set of eyes. I love teaching newcomers, and love the challenge of keeping everything fresh for old hands as well.
