About Raul "the Friendly Neighborhood Game Master"
I started gaming when I was 10 years old and instantly fell in love with it. It gave me a creative outlet and a playground to learn about the world and important issues like history, social justice, team work and problem solving. Over the last 30 years, I have run thousands of campaigns and have even had the joy of teaching my own 3 kids the art of role playing (Ages 14, 11 and 7). I am new player, Autism, LGBTQ+ & POC friendly. I believe that every one who is a sentient being is worthy of respect love and understanding I look forward to speaking with you soon and adventuring with you! I have provided engaging experiences in the games listed below: Dungeons and Dragons Star Wars D6 Eclipse Phase Call of Cthulhu Dragon Age Mage the Ascension Vampire the Masquerade The Expanse Traveller Numenera And much more! I love learning new systems.

How Raul "the Friendly Neighborhood Game Master" runs games
I am a narrative first type of GM. I like to focus on the PC's since they are the stars of our Narrative and I work to create interesting characters and scenarios around them, that will make the world we are playing in to feel somewhat tangible. I believe the rules are their to facilitate the narrative and depending on GM and PC discussion we can work to finesse the rules to facilitate our style of play, within reason. I like to focus on player choice and the effects those choices create. The balance of combat is dependent on whether the players seek out violent solutions to their problems and the luck of the roll, or if the antagonists see violence as the sole solution. The antagonists in my games have realistic ambitions and goals (dependent on how alien they are ) and will likely try to convince the PC's to see things their way or at least bribe them to look the other way. All of the above is just an effort to say that I want our group to have a blast and I will work hard to make an Interesting narrative with cool characters and harrowing situations. :)
Raul "the Friendly Neighborhood Game Master"'s ideal table
My ideal table is made up of creative, collaborative players who deeply understand their characters and actively work to elevate each other’s moments in the narrative. I value a cooperative spirit—players who face challenges together, build off one another’s ideas, and contribute to a shared story that belongs to all of us. I also appreciate players who can separate in-character conflict from real-world emotion. This is a story full of tension, betrayal, and hard choices—but what happens in the fiction stays in the fiction. Respect for one another always comes first.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
If you're into the creeping dread of Alien, the rain-soaked existentialism of Blade Runner, the brutal mysticism of Dune, and the sharp, speculative edge of Heinlein’s fiction—you’re going to love my table.
