About Eldritch Nova
Hey there brave adventurer! I've been playing and leading TTRPGs for 5 years (a wild pandemic appears!) and I'm all about weird mechanics, interesting worlds, and invested players. I'm not here to "beat" you, I'm here to build a story together, it's all about fun and fairness. I started, as a lot of people, with D&D 5E. I absolutely adore Daggerheart and I can confidently run it. I'm in the process of learning Wrath & Glory (In the name of The Emperor, you shall be purged, heretic!) as well as Fallout as both of those are IPs I really enjoy. Mothership is also in my to-do list. If you're looking for a fair, creative, and hype GM who wants everyone laughing and invested, I've got you, fam.

I got started GMing...
When I found the starter set while thrifting, wanted to play but no friends that could DM.
My favorite shows/movies are
I prefer media where you can see the way that decisions and the way that "people" connect and engage with each other can change the world around them (for better or worse).
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Creative, supportive, untraditional (that’s a word, right?)
How Eldritch Nova runs games
How is it like being at one of my tables? In person you always get: minis, props, and handmade trinkets because I'm a goblin for physical stuff. Online? Beautiful maps and visual goodies every session. I'm a very visual GM and I want everyone immersed in the story. Above-the-table drama? Handled. Problem players? Managed. Im not conflict avoidant so I feel comfortable ensuring we're all having fun. I don't resolve player issues with character consequences, we are all adults so I'd rather handle conflict and go back to roleplaying and killing stuff. I don't design for "perfect parties" only. Classic lineup like Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Frodo, and Sam? Awesome. Five barbarians doing Oceans 11, and treating Stealth as a suggestion? Also awesome. I'll make it work, I personally consider it my LITERAL job, and I love it. I prefer balanced sessions when it comes to exploration, combat and roleplay. But, I'm a Roleplay heavy GM who doesn't do accents at all but really conveys the different personalities of the NPCs. This means that even during combat I'd be roleplaying. I also like to allow for breathing space so that the PCs can RP and develop their own dynamics. PC interactions and the bonds they form are the most important part of the games for me.

I deal with rules issues by...
Giving limited time to read them, come to a conclusion together and moving on.
When it comes to voices
I transmit moods, archetypes. I can't do accents in the traditional sense unfortunately, since English is my second language. But still every character has a clearly defined voice and soul.
Eldritch Nova's ideal table
My ideal table is just players that want to have fun and collaborate with one another to make a story happen. Do the unexpected, roleplay your character, but also be self aware of others at the table. Min max not just your stats but also your Roleplay.

I love it when a player
Throws off my prep by doing the unexpected!
I think min/maxing...
Can be done the right way! You just need to make sure that it flows with your character's story and personality.
My table is not the place for...
Players that want to do combat and nothing else, or that think there's only way one to play TTRPGs.
