About Critmedic
I'm a trans-woman who's been GMing fifth edition for about a decade give or take, writing my own homebrew for most of that time as well! I write my own settings, filled with creative takes on classic fantasy and sci-fi tropes, and mastering the rules of the modern d&d system one game at a time! I mostly play D&D but I have dabbled in Pathfinder 2e, monster of the week, and 3.5 D&D. I got into D&D a little bit after my father passed away when I was 14, as a way to escape harsh reality. Now, I tell stories to entertain and color the imagination.

I got started GMing...
After my father passed. I used D&D as a way to escape that world, and founded one of my very own. I stuck around for the people, stories, and experiences I found along the way
My favorite system of all Time is
Fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons!
When I'm not running games I'm...
Preparing for the next! Whether it's maps, storylines, or items, I'm always staying busy
How Critmedic runs games
I prefer a closer to a 60/40 combat roleplay split, in favor of fair, but adrenaline-pumping combat. I tend to tailor combat towards the party I'm GMing for, making unique encounters to challenge PC's based on their limitations, and allowing them to shine with their class abilities. A balance of success and failure makes for the most interesting game!
Featured Prompts
My games focus on...
Large over-arching story lines accompanied by dramatic combat encounters designed to feel cinematic, and crunchy. Large-scale battles with many moving parts!
Rules are...
Important but flexible, the rules exist as guides while we navigate them to achieve the best experience.
When it comes to voices
I always try my best to be immersed in the voices I do, practicing through the week for new silly or serious tones to introduce to my repertoire!
Critmedic's ideal table
At my table, I maintain a player-first mentality. I heavily believe the story I have concocted or the module I'm running comes second to the players' time and enjoyment. Players who involve themselves in the campaign, searching for clues and insights into the plot, will love my games! Anyone who enjoys Homebrew and creative takes on classic tropes will also find their time well spent! I prefer a chiller atmosphere and vibe at the table, enjoying a good laugh over anything else.
Featured Prompts
I love it when a player
ingroses themselves into the game, becoming one with their character during the most intense moments of the game!
I think min/maxing...
has its place in certain types of play, and can make for interesting characters when properly considered for their setting, and table.
My table is not the place for...
inter-party conflict. I prefer a party willing to help one another when in dire straits.
