About Conri
------------------------------ "Greetings Adventurers, and am I glad to see you! You see, I have these adventures here, and they are in dire need of some main characters to... stir the pot so to speak. So what do you think? Interested on discovering some new worlds today? Or perhaps you're looking to visit some old familiar places? There will be plenty to chose. So come and sit. There's always an empty seat at my table for you, and the company is grand and waiting!" ------------------------------ Hello everyone, I go by Conri. I will running Modules, Homebrew worlds, and one shot or mini campaigns here through a combination of my Discord Server, and my Foundry VTT server. I've been DM'ing for several years now, and playing for much longer. I consider my knowledge to be Intermediate, as are my skills as a DM. I have a slightly loose structure when it comes to DMing, even when running modules. Rule of Cool is used at this table, as long as it can still fall in the realm of "reality", and am known to change things up when it seems people are just running through the motions or getting bored. I hope to see you there, and safe travels on your Journey!

How Conri runs games
I enjoy a good Roleplay, whether its in line with story or just a personal tangent. --- I do alright with voices, though of course I'm no Mercer. --- I put a lot of time into each combat encounter to ensure they are the proper level of danger and excitement for the moment, as well as properly balanced (or specifically unbalanced). --- I like to employ puzzles and diplomacy, but I understand some people just wish to smash things. --- I always use a "timeline of events" of sorts, sometimes rigid, sometimes flexible. Always affected by the PCs actions.

I prep by
I'll find my music I want for the session, and listen to that as I craft the story and encounters/tables. I pull from books, wiki's, manuals, and backstories. Even when I plan on "winging it" I spent at least 6 hours on game flow and encounters/loot
My favorite trope is...

Conri's ideal table
I believe a good table needs all types of players. The important thing is not imposing your own play structure on all others and giving each other the time and respect deserved. We need the rules lawyer who will keep everyone on the level just as much as we need the "Sir Ian McFartcloud" the druid that only has parlor trick spells. What is important to me is that everyone has an equal amount of fun and hijinks as they do Character progression and development. I will continually seek to play off backgrounds and help characters find things to progress and evolve with. I promise you will not be the same person at level 1 as you are at level 10. For better or worse. Plenty of above table talk about it as well, I will not just hijack your character.

I love it when a player
Tries to make their class feel unique. Reskin, embellish, make it weird. Show me a new way to use the class.
I think it's a red flag when players...
attempt to control another's actions, or constantly "gives advice". Play your own character. People can ask for help if they want it.
