About Joseph
My experience with ttrpgs start around 2009 when a family friend invited me to join him and my dads table to play through a lord of the rings campaign. This campaign took 6 years to complete where i soon after started GMing first for some friends and then the last 2 years starting community games at my university. This has now lead to wanting to start GMing somewhat profesionally after almost 10 years of GMing for friends, family, summer camps and local youth programs. My style is one of deep world lore, quick improve and an almost sandbox like experience for my players

My favorite books are
The Lord of the Rings trilogy (or as some people call it: The long walk). I have been known to make my worlds unnecessarily detailed and in depth, so i believe that i may have been a bit influenced by Tolkiens writtings.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Open (world, minded and as a person) Evil (due to my tendancy of playing with hearstrings in my campaigns) Thorough (due to the amount of details put into the world, logical thinking of real world reactions and the amount of hidden systems i use in my worlds from economical to logistics)
When I'm not running games I'm...
hiking to find new insperation for landscapes, arcitecture and cultures. Otherwise you will find me writting lore or working out.
How Joseph runs games
I usually enjoy creating a sandbox world where my players can do whatever they want, and as they move around in the world. They can either be a part of the historic events happening around them or influence the events and be a part of it. Or maybe their backstory claims that they are hiding from something. And that something is trying to find them, how will they try to conventionaly or creativily get away.

I deal with rules issues by...
Using common sense, real-life physics, and discussions with my players to decide what is possible within our fantastical world.
My games focus on...
Rich and historic lore that is woven with your characters backstories
When it comes to voices
If the voice is unexpected, then usually the NPC becomes more memorable.
Joseph's ideal table
I love to have a nice combinations of theater kids, chaos goblins and tacticians at my tables.

I am for a vibe that's...
Creative, slightly chaotic and filled with emotions
I love it when a player
Come up with creative and unusual solution to a problem. Does not matter if it is a social encounter, combat or a planned heist
I think min/maxing...
is a part of TTRPGs but should not be in the way for character development and roleplay.
