About Nemesis Tabletop
Hi, I’m Nemesis (Nemy, for short). I’ve been a game master for the past six years, proudly sharing in the magic of tabletop games with close friends, classmates, and family members alike. From a very early age, I knew that I loved telling stories with others but lacked the means to express it. Then, Dungeons & Dragons 5e entered my life and I was forever changed for the better. Not only did the hobby foster new relationships for me, it strengthened my resolve and the ability to meaningfully engage with others. I still recall my joy the first time I asked a player to roll initiative, the nerves I had running strangers through dungeons in high school, as well as the inner strength I employed when I taught my friends how to have meaningful conversations about expectations and potential triggers. Since then, I’ve made the effort to learn new rule systems and GM techniques from talented creators online for the sole purpose of ensuring that I always bring the best experience for everyone at my table.

How Nemesis Tabletop runs games
I deeply enjoy narrative-driven, roleplay heavy games that allow characters to transform over the course of a journey. Usually, this happens during my long-term games but I also appreciate short-form campaigns that give the opportunity to take chances on unusual ideas. One of the highest priorities during my campaigns is that players gain new insights into their characters and feel as if they are part of a greater world. Another priority of mine is using character creation and advancement as a means of expression, pushing the envelope on what makes a unique and powerful build. Providing the same opportunity for my players, getting caught off guard by their unexpected antics, and having personalized conversations on what direction their character is headed are all spectacular parts of the game that I hold dearly. One of the worst feelings in the TTRPG space is when you can’t enjoy a game to the fullest. It’s nice to get out of your comfort zone every once in a while, but unacceptable when that discomfort starts to make you feel unsafe. Regardless of the system, I take my responsibility as a Game Master very seriously when it comes to making sure that players feel welcomed, heard, and excited to play. Therefore I often use discussions outside of the game, safety tools, and house rules on player conduct to make sure that everyone knows what to expect.
