About Leiko

Hi there, I'm Leiko. I am 29 years old and I have been playing, as well as, GMing D&D, ERA, CoC, Mage, Pathfinder 2e and many other systems for over 10 years with the hours in roll20 to prove it. I love doing voice work, Rping, creating puzzles for my players to solve and comedy as much as I love horror.

I became a GM because

It my dream job. I honestly started it for some extra money during the pandemic but nothing has brought me more joy in my life then telling stories. I just want to keep doing it. I want to do it all the way to the nursing home and beyond

How Leiko runs games

I believe in the fundamental rule that, at the end of a day this is but a game and no game should leave you feeling pissed off for playing it, as such I strive anytime I sit down to GM to make a fun or rewarding time for any player who plays with me. After all, what is the point if you're not enjoying yourself? I have a darn good memory so I am always happy to help players with information and love my players to ask questions if they have any to keep games moving. I love seeing my player getting creative as well, I view magic, items and skills as but a tool, part of a larger kit that I adore seeing people put together to create new ways for them to be used and amazing moments that cause me to think.

Rules are...

You paid so you should get to play. As much as I possible can have you. I want everyone to take part, I want everyone to feel like they have their moments. I aim for no one to leave a thing they do for fun upset. That the bare minimum in my eyes.

When it comes to voices

I learnt to do them cause my friend struggled to read. I did all the voices for the character in video games we played growing up. It was fun. So i kept doing them more and more, now I reckon I got pretty good at it. I love that it help the story flow & give each character more personality.

Leiko's ideal table

My ideal table would be a detective story honestly. I ran it a few times and it always been the sessions that I remember most fondly. Setting up this large grand mystery and seeing the player pick up the various clues is exhilarating! I find it a hard group to find though, so I'm grateful for the chances I've had to run them.

Down to have fun. Wither it a high stakes dungeon crawl, a gripping horror or a lighthearted adventure. Humour has to live. Those moment of lightness make everything that comes after have meaning and depth. I want there to be always a reason to save the world over just "Cause we're the the heros"

I love it when a player

Hit me up with ideas. I do enjoy getting DMs about cool unique spells they've come up with. About cool projects they want to make, or just about storylines that excite them & want me to add. When those pieces get added the story always gains more soul.
