About Eddy
Hey Team! I’ve been playing TTRPGs since 2013 and writing stories for even longer. I’ve written worlds for RPG games and dozens of hard-felt stories for my players. I’ve studied theatre and became involved in storytelling as a way to connect with people more dynamically. Nothing beats that feeling when “your” character matters in the world. I write my games freely, always leaving space for them to change and evolve with the players' involvement. Not even fate prevents your characters from making their choices. I love playing in a “Rule of Cool” way, where living the story and creating a fantastic scene is more important than following rules. Currently, I am finishing DM a one-shot with a group of player/DMs, and actually playing in a bunch of other campaigns with them, including one in StartPlaying. My tables are roleplay-heavy and player-driven. The players choose what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. Although there is always a central theme and direction, players won't be forced into it. A story carries more weight when your stakes are personal and laid on the table. I am beginner-friendly and veteran-welcoming. Everyone has a story to tell, regardless of experience level. I’ll welcome questions and provide explanations, and embrace min/max players. I'm one as well. I can create a beautiful world and detailed, intriguing stories, but they only come alive when a player steps into them.

How Eddy runs games
Storytelling and roleplay are significant in my games. From the Player character’s personal struggles to the world’s reaction to what they do and say. Everything is tailored to allow players to experience a living world where they matter. When creating a character, I will work closely with the players to help them have the best possible experience and to learn what makes each player’s character tick. I’ll adapt the world and its inhabitants to ensure everyone feels like they belong. Combat happens in most sessions, sometimes multiple times per session, if the story demands it and makes sense. I am not a rule lawyer and will always prioritize story and “Heroic Moments” over mechanics and rules.

I prep by
Working around player Characters. The biggest motivation for me is the players' reactions and enjoyment.
My games focus on...
Discovery. The sense of wanderlust to explore something new. I build playgrounds and let the players discover them on their own.
Rules are...
Guidelines. Rules are in place to give the game a structure and mechanics, but should never interfere with the ability to dream high and test boundaries.
Eddy's ideal table
My games are mostly team stories where players work together. Teamplay and roleplay are very important for me, and I want players to have fun roleplaying their characters in different scenarios. My tables always have a sense of teamwork. Not all characters will get along, but players should play that as nuance and not let a character choice prevent them or the others from having fun. I welcome veterans and newbies. Doesn't matter what you know about the game or its rules, as long as you want to have fun and tell a story together. I love developing relations with my players and making sure they all feel special at the table. At its core, my tables have a sense of family. It would be impossible for me to spend that much time with anyone and not develop an understanding and a sense of care for them.

I love it when a player
I love it when a player picks whatever is thrown at them and runs with it. Improvisation can lead to amazing situations and completely change the characters' relations.
I think min/maxing...
It's only natural. Some players like to create a character and think about how to maximize its potential in combat or roleplay. And for one, I am all for it. I do the same thing as a player, and as a DM.
My table is not the place for...
My table is not the place for hate in any form. Be it hate for races, politics, sexual preferences, and so on. If you are in a table with me, that table is a safe space.
