About Amy

I'm twenty three years old, and have been playing and being a DM less than a year Dnd has become my focus, as it gave me a meaning that nothing else has, dnd is more than just roleplaying, it gives you confidence, inspires you, and builds connections, and skills to work as a team, I find that completely beautiful which is why I want to run campaigns to see all type of characters and watch as you become a completely different person Horror is a major focus point for the majority of campaign as I find that when thrown into something horrific alot of my players surprise me by seeing the good in the NPC, bringing hope or (mayhem) as it shows that while a campaign might be horror and dark, it doesn't have to be bleak and hopeless I love getting to know my players not only because its important as a DM but I believe it helps build trust so they feel like they are able to come to me with any issues, as sometimes I'm finding out that when your a DM sometimes they don't want to bother you with a problem, and I always say no problem is a silly problem if its bothering you, and I love to have a chat, even regarding if it's about the campaign, I think in my heart im an entertainer and make sure everyone has a good time

I became a GM because

i became one due to the fact I have a passion for watching how PCs change over the course of a campaign and watching as people build meaningful memories with one another which is special to see

When I'm not running games I'm...

Playing the games, or if I'm not doing anything dnd related, I'm playing video games which...inspires dnd it's a full circle

How Amy runs games

I prefer storytelling over mechanics, and I plan things out to a degree, but at the end of the day, being a DM is about improversation since I can't plan for what your going to do and I find that amazing, and every choice you make in a campaign leaves a long lasting consequence, so the stakes are there and while I tend to 60/40 combat, I do adjust some things on the preference of my players

When it comes to voices

I try my best to make each individual NPC sound unique, I might not be the best or individual but they are certainly trying as I'm teaching myself how to voice act

Amy's ideal table

So the vibe of the table I like is welcoming to all players, new and experienced, I like to encourage laughter as it can show that there is trust if you feel comfortable, in not just roleplaying, but showing your personality as a player, and players that enjoy getting into the campaign and wanting to know what's going to happen next
