Hi, my name is Ian Sharkey. I've been DMing for about 5+ years. Growing up, I felt that many TTRPG spaces were heavily gate-kept, and it could be hard for beginning players to get involved. I enjoy introducing new players to the game mechanics. I have several beginner-friendly one-shots with Kids On Bikes, Dungeons and Dragons, and Daggerheart.

How I Shark runs games
I love teaching tabletop roleplaying games and am very beginner-friendly. I enjoy introducing new players to these collaborative storytelling experiences and making sure everyone feels comfortable learning as we go. My games focus heavily on character interaction and story. The spotlight is on who your character is, the choices they make, and how those choices shape the world around them. Actions have meaningful consequences, and the story grows from the players' decisions. Combat is used with intention. When a fight happens, it matters to the story and raises the stakes. I focus more on drama and tension than on complicated rules or number crunching.
