How Brian runs games

As a Game Master, my primary goal is to create an immersive, engaging, and welcoming environment where your choices genuinely shape the world. You can expect balanced gameplay with dynamic combat, roleplay, and exploration focused on player agency. I focus on roleplay and rule of cool to keep games flowing naturally and exploration engaging. Battles are fast and meaningful. I run smart, reactive enemies using dynamic battlemaps with elevated terrain, environmental hazards, and clear tactical objectives beyond just "kill everything." I love to create worlds that come alive. Fun and memorable NPCs, unique locations, and complex adversaries with multiple motivations will keep you hooked. From a kobold pirate ship captain with a vaguely upper Midwest accent to a vampire polymorphed into a bear, you can expect a wide variety of friends, foes, and everything in between.

I focus on creating a supportive, high-energy environment where everyone feels comfortable stepping into the spotlight, making bold choices, and bringing their creative ideas to life. Whether we are navigating high-stakes combat, unraveling a dark mystery, or sharing a cozy roleplay moment around a tavern fire, the atmosphere is always lighthearted, inclusive, and fun.
