About Hannah Grover (katwenty)

I’ve been a forever DM of my friend group for the last ten years. I’m a high school English teacher looking to supplement my pay over the summer. I love the camaraderie and teamwork aspect of Dungeons and Dragons, meeting new people, and especially helping new players find a love of the game. I often like to create homebrew worlds with lots of mystery, suspense, drama, and political intrigue. Whether this is your very first Dungeons and Dragons campaign or your 100th, I’m hoping to create an enjoyable experience for you and the rest of your party. I’m currently an English teacher--I’ve previously taught 11th Grade English and am hoping to slide down to 7th or 8th grade English next school year! I have two tuxedo kittens, Oreo and Kevin, and my favorite guilty pleasure is binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy over the summer.

When I'm not running games I'm...

When I'm not running games, I'm cuddling with my cats, grading essays, listening to musical theater soundtracks, and binge-watching the latest dramas on Netflix.

How Hannah Grover (katwenty) runs games

I love games with an equal amounts of combat and roleplay. I like to be creative and I make sure to tailor each game to the desires of the players and the strengths and weaknesses of each PC. I craft stories that mix the well-beaten path of the game we all know and love with new twists and turns, and I try to leave every session on a cliff hanger! What you can expect from me as a DM is patience, creativity, flexibility, and an experience that has each player immersed in the world of the campaign.

My games focus on...

My games focus on character development and how each character interacts with the world--each of the characters' choices and decisions affect the world in some way or another.

Hannah Grover (katwenty)'s ideal table

My ideal table is made up of players that respect one another and generally have a teamwork vibe--they are supportive of each other and decisions are made on the group as a whole. The one golden rule is: don't be the asshole no one wants to play with. Fun and laughter, jokes included, but also players should come prepared to play the game and get to the plot.
