About me

Hey there adventurer! I’m Beryl! I’ve been a GM and player for over ten years now and I’d be thrilled to run a new campaign for you! I run games that are tonally light and allow for a lot of silliness! I focus on character and roleplaying over combat or strict rule following. I prefer to give players agency to create their world and like to reward adaptation and creative thinking. I like to make use of occasional maps, character images, and songs to set a scene but prefer to play more in the theater of the mind! My goal is just to have as much fun as possible, it's a game after all! I’ve been running a weekly game of Changeling: The Lost (1st Edition) for the last five years with a group of six players. I feel most comfortable running games in the Changeling system and would be more than happy to walk new players through it. I have also run short campaigns of Quest, The Quiet Year, Dragon Age RPG, and Everyone is John. I’m always happy to learn a new system too so if you have something you would like to play that I don’t know reach out, I’d love to learn! I like to pull my references from video games, science fiction/fantasy movies, Japanese culture, and history. If you like any of those things we already have a lot in common! I also identify as a queer person of color and I’d love to connect with players who are also in those communities. So, what do you say adventurer? Shall we get this party started!

GM Style

I like to run games that are tonally light and prioritize role play, story, and creative problem solving. I utilize a lot of improvisation when I DM and I hope players can feel comfortable doing the same! I love to create the world with the players to really make it a collaborative storytelling experience. I'm never above goofiness and a stupid voices while still keeping the story flowing towards an overall goal!
