About me
Dungeons and Dragons is a favorite game of mine and I have been a GM for the last few years which has been instrumental in building my love for this game. I enjoy helping new players learn the ins and outs, but I also like to GM for experienced players as well. I feel the online community is one of the most welcoming and encouraging group of players around, but I also like to GM in person games. Currently, I GM 2 long term in person campaigns and various in person one shots. I want to branch out into online gaming to learn more about my craft and reach a broader audience. PS yes, I'm old...
GM Style
I really like the roleplay aspect of D&D. I think it brings out the best in people's imagination. Now by Roleplay, I don't mean that you have to be a voice actor or anything like that. It simply means that you play your character as that character would be in real life. As an example, if you are playing a druid, don't let the barbarian set the woods on fire as a diversion. No druid would allow this behavior for any reason. I think opening up the imagination is one of the most important parts of my job as a GM. It is also to keep the game fun and tell a great story. Rules come last in my stack of importance. If you are a rules lawyer type of player, you can still have fun at my table, but you might need a valium before the game is over.
