Hey there! I'm Chris, a passionate and dedicated Game Master with over 15 years of experience in tabletop RPGs and 5 years behind the screen as a GM. I got started GMing...
It all started by playing S.W.A.D.E nearly 5 years ago. Our regular GM took wasn't going to be available for a couple of months due to the birth of their child. I volunteered to run a few sessions, and started using the 'East Texas University' module, which we ended up playing in full because...fun!

Reading the full AP before I try to run it, then staying a chapter ahead of the players as we go, I prep my full table for the AP before I try to run it, then make changes or additions for the characters as needed.

Player inclusivity, world setting, lore, and helping the characters be the best that they can be, even in the face of the most dire odds.
When it comes to voices
I think it's always best to at least try. It doesn't matter if it's silly, it doesn't matter if it doesn't work, as long as we try, the voices always add an extra layer of depth to a character, help identify them, distinguish them, and make them unique.

Think of my table as a supportive, story-oriented space where roleplay, action, humor, and teamwork all have a place. If you’re looking for creative, collaborative play and want to help shape the story, I’d love to roll with you. I aim to keep the narrative serious and moving forward while giving players the space to express their characters and make their stories feel like they belong. Combat encounters are engaging and strategic, rewarding players who think tactically and act with intent. I run enemies the way I believe they would act or react; with instinct, intelligence, and goals beyond just “stand somewhere and trade blows.” Expect wolves to hunt like a pack, opportunists to exploit moments of weakness, and clever foes to press their advantages. Not every fight is a brawl to the death; survival, hunger, fear, ambition, hope, or even a greater purpose can all drive a creature’s actions. The battlefield is dynamic, and enemies adapt. If you enjoy thoughtful, challenging combat that fits the story, appreciate collaborative storytelling, or especially love both, you’ll find a lot to enjoy at my table.

Should be avoided, though I tend to quite happily spill the lore were I can, because it's always so interesting and I want each of my players to get the most from both their sessions and their the adventure.

Much like metagaming should be avoided, though depending on the system players who metagame will only really detract from their own fun, players who minmax run the potential or ruining it for others as well.
