About Ajna
An organized and intuitive story-teller with over 4 years of experience in GMing varied kinds of TTRPGs - including but not limited to DND, Daggerheart and the Good Society TTRPG. As your GM/DM/Storyteller, this is what you can expect from any of my tables: โก ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง: By appropriate use of ambient music, narrative indicators and engaging storytelling, I make my "theater of the mind" games come to life with my own personal flourishes. As an asexual woman of colour, it is increasingly important to me that my tables reflect my continued drive to make TTRPGs a safe environment within which anyone can thrive and enjoy, no matter what their background or orientation is. I aim always to uphold a golden standard of table etiquette in all of my games. Another one of my crucial focuses in any game is the willingness to deliver a very player-driven experience. All of the adventures I run are exploration heavy, with the onus of it on the players and their wishes! Every adventure is tailor-made for the general energy and vibe of the group, as well as everyone's individual and collective goals. Though my games boast being roleplay-driven, they are not lacking in tactical or crunchy play and heavy combat scenarios. I take great care to deliver a balanced game that will suit the needs of every player in the party, and my versatile GMing style allows for such flexibility. Needless to say, I am influenced quite a lot by online live play GMs and their styles, chief among them being Brennan Lee Mulligan and Matthew Mercer. I draw a lot of inspiration from their approach to TTRPGs as well as the examples they set in their many campaigns, and I always strive to make the narrative experience something for all of my players to remember. I try my best to weave in humanistic and philosophical elements into my stories, with dramatic flairs that I have always loved to incorporate! As an inclusive GM, I try and cover a whole spectrum of topics. Everyone is welcome at my table: whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned player, you will find something to enjoy about my games. Whether you're here just to have fun or you want a serious and dramatic roleplay/narrative experience, or you want tough and dynamic combat that you really need to think on your feet to get through successfully โ my games are the place for you! More than anything, I find satisfaction from my work here when you, the player, have simply had a marvelous time and have left each session with a sense of wanting more! So, I hope you ๐๐ answer the call for adventurers and join one of my games โ and let's have a great time telling some riveting stories! ( P.S.: Credit for Icon Art goes to @ShionsLife. )

I got started GMing...
4 years ago. I was in love with storytelling and the creative elements of it just called to me! I loved how easy it was for me to get into the flow of things, and how I could create my own adventures seamlessly. And if I got somebody to take away a memorable experience from the game, all the better!
My favorite shows/movies are
Pride and Prejudice, Bridgerton (specifically Season 2 and the Queen Charlotte spin off), Devil Wears Prada, Parasite, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, What We Do In the Shadows, Reign (I know its not historically accurate, I just like Adelaide Kane!) and Everything, Everywhere, All At Once!
When I'm not running games I'm...
Prepping for games, typically watching a lot of Youtube, or playing in games run by fellow GMs on StartPlaying! I'm also a researcher in philosophy, so that keeps me occupied!
How Ajna runs games
My GM-style is roleplay-heavy silhouetting, whimsical storytelling, and micro-encounters that progresses individual character development and the story as well.

My favorite trope is...
I am a romance enjoyer, so every regency trope in the book is essentially my favourite. Good Society is one of my favourite TTRPG systems to run in combination with 5e, so this choice makes total sense to me.
My games focus on...
Fantasy, action, and concentrated storytelling that spotlights players and their wants more than anything else. Even if I'm running a by the book module, I try and get some of my player storylines incorporated within it, and tie everything up in a neat little bow!
Rules are...
Guidelines and not meant to be followed to the absolute last letter. I will more often allow for something that makes for a cool moment or a great visual, or something that's more logical and situational than what is prescribed by the rules. The goal is always to have fun!
Ajna's ideal table
My ideal table is made of people who are wonderful, inclusive, and intuitive role-players who aren't afraid to get creative with how they play any game that I run. I encourage chaos and shenanigans in most of my games, and as long as it 1) looks cool, 2) follows some logic/justification, and 3) doesn't break the game /too much/, I will usually "yes, and..." everything that is brought to the table.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Roleplay, mysteries and long-term pay off storylines
I think it's a red flag when players...
Backseat GM/DM. Helping players when they need it is very encouraged, but if you do not have the right tone or attitude when you help, it may not be received as "help" but rather as condescension and "um actually" behaviour, and it also breeds resentment from other players.
My table is not the place for...
Lack of courtesy, murder hobo behaviour, arguing about the rules, or blatant ignorance to other players.
