About Acraa
My name is Acraa, and I am a Game Master with a passion for world building, homebrewing, and collaborative storytelling! My journey began with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, and since then, I’ve fallen in love with creating homebrew settings, classes, monsters, items, and spells to make each of my games feel fresh and engaging. I focus on narrative-driven, player-centered campaigns where the world evolves based on the player's choices. Over the years, I’ve run a handful of long-term campaigns and dozens of one-shots. I always aim to ensure each player has meaningful moments to shine and that the world pushes their characters into situations that are engaging and dramatic. Between sessions, I put a ton of thought into character arcs, plot hooks, and ways to tie backstories into the world so that each person at my table truly feels like they have an equal stake in our story!

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
I would have to bring D&D 5e to be my catch all system for heroic style games. For more intimate games I'd bring "Legend in the Mist" since I've absolutely fallen in love with the system recently, and finally I'd bring my own Solarpunk 2dX with exploding Die system called "Letters from the Horizon".
My favorite books are
My absolute favorite books (in no particular order) would have to be Isaac Asimov's "Foundation," Brandon Sanderson's "Mistborn," Dan Abnett's "Prospero Burns" and "Know No Fear," and Coehlo's "The Alchemist."

How Acraa runs games
As a Game Master, I lean toward narrative-driven, collaborative storytelling where player choices truly matter. My games blend rich worldbuilding with meaningful player agency. Character’s backstory doesn’t just exist in isolation, it actively shapes the world and story we create together. I encourage players to contribute descriptions, flesh out locations, and help build the world around them, making every campaign feel uniquely theirs. While combat certainly happens when tensions boil over, many conflicts can be resolved through diplomacy, stealth, or creative problem-solving. When violence does erupt, I keep combat fast-paced and high-stakes. Every. Roll. Matters. I try to make sure that encounters never drag into meaningless slogs. My goal is to maintain tension and excitement whether my players are negotiating with a faction leader, exploring ancient ruins, or fighting to protect what they hold dear. I do my best to make the worlds I run feel alive and reactive. NPCs have their own goals and the environment responds to the PCs actions. I love working with players to weave their characters’ stories into the larger narrative, creating moments that feel epic and personal at the same time!

If my games were put to screen, they would be directed by the show creator for "The Bear", Christopher Storer!
My favorite trope is...
The only trope I truly will never get tired of is the "Found Family" trope. I love seeing player character's come together over the course of a campaign, and form their own little dysfunctional family!
Rules are...
Rules are the scaffolding that helps supports the game/story! They can be bent or changed as long as it is done in service of telling a better story or having more fun at the table!
Acraa's ideal table
My table is a place where the character's story is the heart of the campaign. I strive to create a space where my players can have true agency. Not just in choosing which door to open, or quest to follow, but in shaping the very narrative and defining their character's place in a living world made with them in mind. I love getting player buy-in by collaborating on the origins of my PCs. Whether it's collaboratively building out the details of their hometown, the factions they've crossed paths with, or the history that makes you unique. Each world my table visits is a shared canvas, and I'm not too attached to my ideas! I'm way more interested in the stories my players want to tell and the parts of the world they choose to care about! For those epic, combat-intensive adventures, I ensure fights are more than just a slugfest. You'll face classic monsters with surprising homebrew twists, making each encounter a fresh tactical puzzle that's as engaging as it is challenging. The general vibe is one of collaborative creation, mutual respect, and shared excitement. If you're a player who loves deep roleplay, creative problem-solving, deep lore revelations, and feeling like a true architect of the story, you'll find a happy home here :)

I love it when a player
I love when my players are invested in their character's journey and keep me updated outside of sessions with how their character is doing and what their future plans are! When I know a player is taking notes and immersing themselves it makes me want to expand on their character's role in the story!
I think min/maxing...
I think min/maxing is a valid expression of system mastery that has its place in certain campaigns. As long as it does not detract from the enjoyment of other players and is not done maliciously, then everyone should be free to optimize their builds however they want!
My table is not the place for...
Players who do not respect boundaries, take away from others immersion and enjoyment, or purposefully go against the established tone of a campaign, do not have a place at my table. We are here to tell a collaborative story with and emphasis on collaborative. There are no main characters in my game.
