About me

Hello there! My name is Kris (Male-35), and Ive been running professionally for over 5 years now, dming for around 10, and am looking to add some new games to my list, I currently run 4, but like to make sure I can show each group plenty of attention and not leave messages on read. Basically I like to make sure to limit myself as I know other paid dms can be a bit more closed off, I try to be readily available to my players, and be able to hop into voice and chat with them if needed. I have a few 5e modules Ive purchased here on roll20, including Storm King's Thunder, The Wild Beyond The Witchlight, and Tomb of Annihilation, but also have written over half a dozen others myself that I am more than happy to cover if asked. The ones I have written cover a variety of styles as I dont like to corner myself, some are classic dnd, some are more travel campaigns, other intrigue and politics, some are dark and grim, it just depends on what youre looking for, I write often, and have ran many of these numerous times, so the choice is really yours. (Where We May Roam, Tales From Icewind Dale: Lonelywood, Knights in Silver, Keys of Cyric, Isle of Leajiah, The Weak Are Meat, Beasts of Burden, etc) As for Pathfinder 1e, I dont currently own any of Pazio's modules roll20, but have built all of my homebrews with both systems in mind. If there is a module on roll20 I dont own you would like to run, let me know and we can work something out. But maybe thats not good enough? Maybe your group wants something different? Someone has an idea for a setting, or a hook they would like to explore? Then let me build the world YOU WANT. Give me an idea, and a location, and Ill fill in the NPCs and Places of Interest, find all the maps, and set you up a BBEG to fight in the end of your epic campaign. All homebrews come with everything youd find in a WOTC/Pazio module and more, including handouts and supplements, no skimping on material. What do I offer? Maps for almost every scenario, no sitting at white or splash screens during play, modules will have dynamic lighting for most maps, homebrew will use Fog of War. Ambience, music, nature noises, etc, always some sort of sound being played in roll20 that Ive either made or collected. Everyone will have a token with a health ring, no metagaming needed for hp, provide me an image, and I can make a token for you, or teach you how to make one yourself for other games! Voices for NPCS! Im not a voice actor, but I do use voices for most of my npcs as I like them to be distinguishable and individualistic, giving the players a bit more immersion. Attentive, active, and flexible. Im never late unless something bad happens, like a storm or medical emergency, plus I respond in between sessions rather quickly, trying to be available to my players. I dont space out, or have people yelling in the background, I dont white screen players, and I dont let players sit inactive for hours, I make sure everyone is involved and the story keeps moving. The session will be packed from beginning to end, and I try to make each session about YOUR characters, not just the plot, adding in backstories when I can. How DO I RUN? Im very well versed in the rules of both 5e and Pathfinder 1e, but am flexible and dont mind skirting outside of RAW if thats what the group wishes to choose. I usually allow rolling for stats, and if its really horrible switching to a point buy. I try to keep a good amount of roleplay backing the story so combats do matter, but I do like to mold to the group I run for, and pride myself on improvisation, so RP and Combat mix may be up to your playstyle. :) I dont mind running for newbies, and have taught various age groups how to play DND5e/1e, so any range of experience is welcome. I like to run with a maximum of 5 players, and will be using discord for voice, where I can also have various channels for handouts, locations, history, rules, side-rp, etc, for players to look at and use. Im free Sundays anytime after 2PM EST, and generally run for 3-4 hours, sometimes a little over if required. . Saturdays I am free anytime after NOON EST. Like I said above, usually 3-4 hours of run time, a little over if required. My session 0's are free, and usually end up with part of the session going into the story/introduction where players can actually roll some dice, and roleplay their characters, maybe get into some combat depending on the game. After that its just $10 a session per person through Paypal. Any questions dont be afraid to drop them here, send me a dm, or hit me up on discord at KrisV#3770. Thank you and may your dice always roll nat 20s. Roll20's required payment disclaimer: "This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10 per player per session via PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements."

GM Style

I mold myself around the group, depending on if they like combat or roleplay more. I do use voices, very often. I stick to RAW to help teach newbies the game, but am very flexible on things and dont mind adding in some homebrew.
