About me

I've been playing RPGs in some form or another since I was 10 years old. At the time of writing this, that was 33 years ago!!! As a player, there aren't many systems I haven't dabbled in, but as a GM, my chosen games tend to be either Vampire 5th Edition or CHILL (which few have heard of). I have run Dungeons and Dragons in various iterations for several groups. Still, most people prefer me as a storyteller for a Vampire Chronicle. My background is in the psychology of human behavior, creative writing, theater, and occultism. Oh, how I love to combine them to draw players into a world that they both love and dread being part of.

GM Style

My stories tend to be deep, dark, and unsettling - but the payoff for these themes is increased drama and a natural feeling of overcoming those "demons" within. So, no surprise, I place roleplaying above roll playing and love to allow players to interact in character as much as possible. I love watching relationships develop, and I thrive on creating conflict in the characters' lives. Romances, rivalries, friendships, comrades, allies, and mortal enemies - these roles can easily blur depending on oh so many factors. I adore working with players to see their characters grow and develop from humble beginnings to – well – wherever their life in the game takes them. I prefer small groups over large ones. 3 to 4 players at most. This allows me to hone in on each individual and give them the time and attention they need to be in the spotlight. I also find incredible joy in working with and helping new players get started. I've been told I'm good "training wheels" for future gaming experiences.
