About me
Hey, I’m Roxas! I’m a Game Master with over a decade of experience bringing worlds to life across games like Dungeons & Dragons and Vampire: The Masquerade. Whether it's a crumbling gothic city or a realm on the brink of collapse, I specialize in crafting deep, immersive narratives where players don’t just witness the story, they’re woven into it. I hold an associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degree, but in the end being a story teller has become my path. I've spent years honing my craft, including training in voice acting, so that every NPC, villain, or tragic figure feels alive, layered, and unforgettable. The goal? To make every moment visceral, personal, and player-driven. When I’m not prepping the next emotional gut-punch or moral dilemma, you’ll find me lost in sourcebooks, building lore-soaked worlds, or adding my own flair to the table, yes, including the occasional spontaneous musical number (I didn't chose bard life, bard life chose me). If you’re into Critical Role, epic character arcs, and settings that feel like they breathe around you, welcome, you’re among friends. And finally, don’t forget to love each other!

I have played with a few professional DM's and nobody has yet to compare to Roxas. His prep for each session is incredible. He is a phenomenal voice actor and the materials he use are great! His discord community is full of great players. It's a great place to make friends and play his other campaigns with. I really like his table rules. They bring a lot more balance to the game.
I've been in 4 of his sessions as of now, always puts alot of effort into the story and making sure everyone has a balanced good time. Plot twists a plenty and its never boring when the BBEG is planning against you. His worlds are ever expanding and alive. I would say you wont be disappointed if you join one of his games
Awesome DM so far. Great Visuals, great pacing, really takes player input well, and ability to do different voices very well. Use of Roll20 was okay (typical roll20 issues) but the DM didn't really have control over that, but once the issues were resolved our group had a solid time playing. Roll playing was not required but encouraged by the DM allowed players to play their characters naturally instead of thinking "what would my character do" the players would think "what should my character do" leading to an overall better role playing experience. End of the day, highly recommend. Updated Review with over a year of player with the DM. Everything great about the above review still stands, but none of the above issues are a problem anymore with the switch to FoundryVTT. Highlights for the DM are the following; -Understands the game mechanics at a high level, and tweaks the combat mechanics in a fun and interesting way. -Supportive of player actions and roleplaying -Allows the option for encounters to be solved with wit instead of murder -Constantly improves the game by bringing in tweaks with technology, I.E. having actually character models instead of tokens with different poses. -Master story teller, really engages you into the story. -Has a wide range of voice acting -Is always rooting for the player but does not pull punches (Does not fub dice rolls in favor for the player or monsters) TLDR Highly recommend
Roxas is a professional. He takes your experience as a player very seriously. I highly recommend Roxas to anyone considering a new game with an experienced DM. I enjoy Roxas's DM style. Roxas brings every NPC to life and takes a significant bit of pride in his preparation and ability to bring life to his game. I enjoy gaming with Roxas. Do yourself a favor and game with Roxas.
Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will be created before at session 0 where we will make sure everyone is comfortable, and has their character ready. Backstories should be written before session 1 as well.
We are level 6, we are very early on
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a D&D Beyond account, and a Discord Account. A decent mic, headset and computer are also required. Other than that there is nothing players need to bring with them to session.
What Roxas brings to the table
I bring to the table the complete collection on D&D Beyond which gives the players in my campaigns access to all of that content. Foundry VTT a powerful software with dynamic lighting and special effects capabilities.
Homebrew rules
🩸 Potions It is a bonus action to swig a potion 🩸 Flanking Flanking confers a +2 bonus to attack rolls instead of advantage 🩸 Critical Hits Critical hits cause the damage on the dice to be doubled instead of rolling extra dice 🩸 Critical failures and Critical Successes If a roll results in a natural 1, it is considered a failure. On the other hand, if the roll is a natural 20, it is always a success and may also have additional benefits, which are determined by me. 🩸 Death Saves Death saving throws are done privately 🩸 Stealth Outside Combat Players make (Dexterity) Stealth rolls only when someone is in a position to see them or look for them. 🩸 Investigation Checks For Traps When searching for traps, the person checking will roll a check once and continue to use that result until a trap is found in order to avoid constantly rolling. 🩸 Vicious Mockery or Tasha’s Hideous Laughter If you use vicious mockery or Tasha’s hideous laughter and your joke/insult makes me laugh, the target gets no saving throw.

How Roxas creates a safe table
A typical session will be everyone logging into D&D Beyond, then joining discord, and joining the Foundry VTT link. After everyone is situated and ready to go then we will jump right into the game. Exploring and role-playing will be large portions of the game as well as combat. This is a game for people who like gritty realism combined with high fantasy, an accurate comparison would be the Witcher series. I like to play my games with a healthy mix of role-playing and combat. There is also a good amount of serious and silly content. You can expect the game to be fully fleshed out, everywhere you go there will be a map or animated artwork to show you what your surroundings look like accompanied by a narrative explanation. I pride myself on my voice acting skills and will do my best to breathe life into every NPC. What I can’t do with my voice I supplement with voice mods. Character death is a serious possibility, especially at early levels. This is because I do not pull punches and let the dice fall where they may. I feel the world seems much more alive and realistic when you are bumping into things that are both easy to take care of and nearly impossible to manage. Knowing when to run is one of the greatest skills an adventurer must possess. I want to get your adrenaline pumping in dangerous situations and make it feel as real as possible. I require everyone to be on time and ready for the session and expect them to stay for the entirety unless an emergency arises. I expect people to stay in character as much as possible and I do not tolerate metagaming. I run a mature game and any topic may come up at the table in game, if there are any specific lines you would like to avoid crossing please feel free to message me and I will make a note of it. You can expect to have a 10-minute break around mid-session for grabbing snacks, drinks, and bio breaks.
