About the adventure

😈A death curse is trapping the souls of the dead and draining life from all who have been raised from death by magic. 🪦None can be raised from the dead! 💀Those previously raised from the dead to wither and die! 🌴Venture into the dangerous jungles of Chult ⚔️Find the source of the death curse and stop it or die trying. To quote the disclamer in the front of the book: "Disclaimer: This adventure will make your players hate you - the kind of simmering hatred that eats away at their sould until all that remains are dark little spheres of annihilation where their hearts used to be." Now I don't want you to hate me. And I certainly don't want to replace your hearts with evil little annihilation spheres. But, anyone who knows Tomb of Annihilation knows it can be terribly unforgiving. Much more than other campaigns, PC death is a theme of Tomb of Annihilation. After all, this is a story about death and the lengths individuals go to avoid it. And don't worry, I won't make it my sole mission to kill your characters, but I won't try too hard to save them either. Additional Details

How to prepare

Having a mic is essential. I may use my webcam to better communicate but I won't require players to use theirs (though it can help). Character creation can take place during session 0, but it's best to come with ideas and reasons your character might be headed for the jungle peninsula of Chult. We will connect and talk via discord so you will need that (it's free), but no other sofware is necessary. I use Owlbear Rodeo for maps and visual aides, which is totally browser-based and does not require setting up an account or anything.

What I provide

I will come prepared for the session with the module and flexibility for where the adventure can go. I'm not a great artist, but I have put together custom illustrations of parties in the past, when time permits.

Gameplay details

Tomb of Annihilation (as the name and setting might suggest) is a high-stakes module. As such, sticking to the mechanics and consequenses present in the game is important. However, players shouldn't expect a slog of rolls and hit point deductions from me, as I try to keep a lighter, well-paced game while still allowing the story to unfold as it would, according to player choices and luck of the roll.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be the responsibility of the players, though I am happy to help. I highly recommend D&D Beyond or MPMB automated character sheets to do so. I have most of the player relevant options available to use on D&D Beyond.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
