About the adventure
You came to Baldur's Gate to make a name for yourself. You didn't expect to get caught up in illegal activity that could cause your necks to stretch if the wrong person saw you at the wrong time. You also didn't expect to almost immediately get entangled in the planes-spanning Blood War. You REALLY didn't expect to soon contend with Zariel in the first level of the Nine Hells. How you proceed on that battlefield is up to you, but there is more: Old Hoof and Horn himself has had his eye on each of you for a while now. You somehow work into the infinite machinations of the Supreme Master of the Nine Hells, as--at some point during each of your lives--he has tempted you...and you have denied him. It makes sense, then, that the Lord of Lies just cut his losses and went about his merry way...and somehow manipulated events to claim the lives (and souls) of the one person each of you cherished most. It seems fate has given each of you an opportunity to reclaim the loved one you have lost should you continue your descent. There is salvation to be had, so long as you are able to avoid all obstacles in your path...up to and including the Lord of the Ninth himself, Asmodeus. Long story short: You're going to Hell. If and/or how you return is entirely up to you.... This is a campaign designed for 3-6 players and will take characters from 1st level all the way to 20th, as it combines the "Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus" module with the "Chains of Asmodeus" module.

About me
Everyone has a story in them. Let me help you find yours. It can be hard for those who want to play TTRPGs, but either can’t find a group or just don’t know how to get started. Let me make that easier for you by offering my services as a professional Game Master for whatever game system you’re interested in playing. Let’s build a story together, while leaving you the freedom to explore and enjoy the world you’re creating without being bogged down by rules and multiple plotlines to keep track of. I've been doing this for over 30 years and have garnered a reputation for being a little outside the box but--at the same time--being 100% inclusive. The goal is for everyone to have fun and for nobody to feel left out. Also, if you see me advertising a game with no players yet, and the scheduled day and time doesn't work, message me with a day and time that would work and I can possibly move it to that schedule. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Creating your character
Character creation will take place during Session 0, but you are welcome to get a head start if you like. My basic guidelines are as follows: 1. Stats are determined by rolling 4d6 and dropping the lowest per stat. 2. Leveling up is milestone-based. 3. Encumbrance is enforced, but coin weight is ignored. 4. I allow all official content (including Unearthed Arcana), as well as most 3rd-party content with prior approval.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need access to a mic, as well as both Discord and D&D Beyond.
What Nemesis Noir brings to the table
Apart from using Discord, I also have access to several sourcebooks, as well as a D&D Beyond subscription. I'll be using the 2024 rules for this campaign, but I do have a few house rules of my own that I will discuss with you as a group.
Homebrew rules
I have options for homebrew rules; we'll talk about them during Session Zero to see if the group wants to use them or not.
