About the adventure
Wrath & Glory: The Gilead System Campaign The Great Rift has swallowed the stars. The Gilead System stands isolated within the Imperium Nihilus, cut off from Terra and surrounded by hostile forces. Imperial authority is fragmented, supply lines are failing, and old rivalries are resurfacing as each world decides what it must sacrifice to endure. This long-form Wrath & Glory campaign begins at Tier 2. Your characters are capable and dangerous, already a step above the common citizens and frontline soldiers of the Imperium, but they are not yet the legendary figures who shape the fate of entire worlds. Not yet. Forge Your Own Legend This campaign supports a wide range of characters and Imperial, or otherwise, affiliations. You may be an Imperial Guardsman, Inquisitorial agent, sanctioned psyker, servant of the Ecclesiarchy, Adeptus Mechanicus operative, voidfarer, underhive survivor, or something stranger still. Character creation is intentionally flexible. Most Tier 2-appropriate archetypes can fit the campaign with a strong concept and a clear reason to cooperate with the group. Unconventional ideas are encouraged. Creative character concepts will become opportunities for the story rather than obstacles to work around. The Gilead System Gilead is a persistent, reactive setting shaped by player actions. Factions pursue their own agendas. Allies remember loyalty. Enemies remember betrayal. Decisions made in one place may have consequences elsewhere, while seemingly minor events can grow into system-wide crises. Multiple conflicts are already in motion, but there is no predetermined path through them. Players decide which leads to follow, which alliances to form, which risks to take, and what costs they are willing to accept. As the campaign progresses, characters may gain influence, acquire rare resources, build alliances, command assets, and rise to positions of greater importance within the system. Grim Darkness and Glorious Action Sessions combine investigation, negotiation, exploration, and cinematic combat. The 41st Millennium is brutal and unforgiving, but violence is not always the best solution. Political maneuvering, deception, diplomacy, covert operations, technical expertise, and calculated risks can be just as decisive as firepower. Expect dangerous missions, difficult choices, memorable NPCs, unfamiliar regions of Gilead, and consequences that persist beyond individual sessions. Creative problem solving and inventive uses of abilities are strongly encouraged. The “rule of cool” applies when it improves the scene, supports the table, and respects the tone of the game. The setting is grimdark, the table is collaborative, and the goal is to have a damn good time.

About me
In the modern world of relentless monotony, you might be looking for a Burt!. Not quite an NPC and not quite a PC, but something in between. I’m here to serve as your Boredom Tech Support©, turning a few hours at the table into something immersive, engaging, and memorable. I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for over two decades, building worlds, guiding stories, and helping players step into characters that matter. I focus on games where choices have weight, scenes move with purpose, and the world responds to what you do rather than forcing you down a script. Sometimes that means intense narrative play, sometimes it means open exploration, and sometimes it just means having a damn good time rolling dice with friends. I run everything from classic D&D to Pathfinder to Warhammer 40k Wrath & Glory, and I tailor each game to the group at the table. Whether you’re here for deep roleplay, tactical combat, or a balanced mix of both, my goal is to make sure the session feels complete, coherent, and worth your time. My table is inclusive and welcoming, with a firm expectation of mutual respect. Everyone deserves a space where they can enjoy the shared act of imagination without nonsense getting in the way. In character, things can get strange, dangerous, or intense. Out of character, the table stays calm, friendly, and drama free. When the call to adventure sounds, I’m ready to guide the way. Let the dice roll, the pages turn, and the story unfold. “Knowing where the trap is; that’s the first step in evading it.” Frank Herbert, Dune Maybe, I mess with them for the fun of it. Maybe I don’t. Burt!, the other day No nasty R’s. Rude, racist, or repugnant behavior will not be tolerated at the table.

Creating your character
Character creation in Wrath and Glory is quick and easy. To get started, you'll choose a faction from among the various factions, Imperial, Eldar, Ork, to name a few. Each faction has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, as well as special abilities and equipment. Once you've chosen your faction, you'll select your character's archetype. This will determine your character's role on the crew, such as a combat specialist or a tech expert. You'll also choose a background, which will give you additional skills and abilities. Next, you'll allocate points to your character's attributes, which represent their physical and mental capabilities. These attributes include things like Strength, Agility, and Intelligence. You'll also choose a set of skills, which represent your character's specific talents and abilities. Finally, you'll select your character's gear and weapons. This is where you'll choose your character's signature equipment, such as a power sword or a custom-built lasgun. You'll also have the option to choose additional equipment, such as grenades or a grappling hook. All of these choices come together to create a unique character that is ready to explore the universe of Warhammer 40k. And with the game taking place on the VTT Foundry, you won't need to purchase any additional materials to get started. So gather your crew and get ready to set sail on a journey of adventure and danger!

How Burt! creates a safe table
Gameplay in Wrath & Glory is about surviving and making your mark in the brutal universe of Warhammer 40,000. You’ll face difficult choices, navigate dangerous political situations, uncover hidden threats, and fight when diplomacy or caution are no longer enough. The game embraces the darker side of the setting. Expect violence, betrayal, corruption, fanaticism, alien horrors, and situations where there may be no perfect answer. At the same time, the campaign still leaves room for ambition, discovery, unlikely alliances, and moments of hard-earned victory. You’ll have meaningful freedom in how you approach problems and where the story goes. You might investigate a conspiracy, negotiate with a rival faction, explore a dangerous world, recover lost technology, protect an ally, or decide that overwhelming firepower really is the best solution after all. Wrath & Glory is designed to support a broad range of characters and playstyles. New players are welcome, and the rules will be taught during play. Whether you are already familiar with Warhammer 40,000 or completely new to the setting, the focus is on giving you room to make bold decisions and shape the campaign through your actions.
