About me
To me DnD is not just an escape from the world which it can be but I aim to help my players tell the story of their characters throughout the campaign and heavily encourage player choice, consequences both positive and negative and self-expression. To give a little example from recent adventure with Rime of the Frostmaiden, a player wanted to create a reason as to why their character was so heavily involved in Ten Towns, the reason was that their character was a member of a cult that wants to overtake Bryn Shander and change the politics of Icewind Dale to a magiocracy. Which to me as a DM that loves big ambitious goals and gives us so much back and forth. About my experience I've been DMing and playing since 2nd edition but my true development came around 3.5 and now 5e. I have about 11 000 hours on Roll20 alone, not to mention in person and just online on another platforms. A very simple way to describe my games is a more serious roleplay and character focused campaign. For any of you who are lovers of the RPG genre would be Dragon Age or the Neverwinter games for the online territory. I am a big fan of Matt Colville and many other youtubers/streamers like him.

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Sets the Mood
Storytelling
Paragon is a STRONG GM. Great with character voices, maps, background music, and overall look and feel of the adventure. Makes it really immersive. We had our first combat session. He's great at knowing the rules. And he is a master of the Roll20 interface, which really makes for a fast and efficient combat encounter. There are even 120 second counters for each turn, which speeds up play and makes it more realistic. He's also solid with monster tactics. So combat is a nail biting challenge!
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session 0, unless you have preloaded the work for yourself beforehand. We will also discuss the group identity so to speak during session 0 as well, do the characters know each other, how do they start off, who are they, and so on. How will character creation work 📑 If it's your first time playing a DnD game, please feel free to reach out to me via Message in advance of building your character or if you have questions about whether an idea you had for a character would be allowed I'd be happy to discuss it of course and provide my help 🪁 During session 0 we will talk about variant rules, and what people like and don't like
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You must have at least some knowledge of the Dragon age universe or be willing to learn, I have resources people can watch on youtube or read. ✔️ A good mic, nothing fancy just something that sounds good ✔️ No background noise and a clear environment around you, unless you can mute and unmute really well. ✔️You will need Discord and foundry accounts which are free ( which are free and I'd be happy to help you with the setup)
What Paragon brings to the table
I will provide the adventure but beyond that! ☑️ Custom artwork to add to the adventure both hand drawn and AI-generated to complete the experience and make it even more immersive ☑️ Hundreds of new maps are added to the adventure to fit scenes and locations where none are provided in the adventure or encounters ☑️ Custom soundtracks for combat, environment, sound effects, and even dialogue ambiance soundtracks ☑️An excellent knowledge of DnD 5e ☑️ New handouts and interesting items ☑️ My designer experience to help make the adventure more fun for the group if needed but also interweave your backstory with the world and make it come to life and matter into the world, not just a railroad adventure. As well as design the game so that your actions matter on a larger and smaller scale to the world. I have been designing tabletop and video game adventures and writing stories for a decade, and Try to bring a fresh and unique flavor to your adventures with me and the group. ☑️ Animated maps and effects whenever possible

How Paragon creates a safe table
🔷You will be able to use all the DnD 5e classes, (and races as mechanics, probably reskinned tho to keep the themes of the setting) . Additionally, all the Dragon Age tabletop RPG classes have conversions available for 5e DnD. 🔷We will do a session 0, with all the standard information, I will tell you about the adventure, work on characters with you, see what backstories we can work in , create the characters, see how the 5e conversion works and so on. Make sure we talk about safety and the problematic subjects that there might be in the game, such as the content warning above You will need a Discord account for the audio 🔷 I will provide a basic summary of the most important rules and underline them for new players so they have an idea of how to get through things and add to that knowledge
