Shades of Revenge: Shades of Blood into Revenge of the Runelords
When supernatural storms cover the island town of Talmandor's Bounty in darkness, you must uncover the secrets of long-forgotten ruins.
About the adventure
Shades of Blood is a dungeon-crawling adventure from levels 1 through 11. As a megadungeon, this will be a classic bit of "explore, get XP and loot, kill monsters" and the like, though there is actually a lot of subtlety and the opportunity to solve problems in a nonviolent way in the adventure. The setting is the tropical remains of the Azlanti empire, which was long ago shattered by a massive asteroid. What was once a connected land mass is now a wrecked archipelago. Below the waves of these small islands, the remains of a highly magically and technologically advanced society still remain--and every so often something ticks back to life. The follow-up campaign, Revenge of the Runelords, is announced for October, and as such we have limited information. This 12-20 game uses PF2e's Mythic rules, which enhance your character with superhuman power. We do know that the return of one of the long-gone Runelords, powerful wizards who harness sin energy to fuel their magics, kicks off this adventure. What I can say is that the Mythic rules are a 1-20 ruleset, and as such the fact that we're leading into a Mythic adventure means that our characters in Shades of Blood will become Mythic at some point in that adventure. Perhaps this is an empowerment of long-forgotten Azlanti technology, or a charge from a divine interlocutor.

About me
I'm Ryan and I love running Pathfinder 2e! I came on over from DnD 5th edition and have been running 1 to 4 games a week for about 4 years now. My style tends towards cinematic, fast-paced combat with a lot of humor. I love doing ridiculous voices for my NPCs and letting players get away "rule of cool" shenanigans. I've got an active Discord community posting about Pathfinder, video games and the like. Come on by and join a table! All tables are of course queer-friendly and we have a friendly Discord community for folks trying to wrap their heads around Pathfinder 2e.

Ryan is a GM who is a pleasure to play with. He shows genuine interest not just in making the vibe of your character work, but also in seeing how your build works out. He has a solid grasp of the rules, and most questions you have when making a character will be "here's how it works, I've been really interested to see that in play." In play he is happy to dole out circumstantial benefits as the situation demands, and to allow unorthodox solutions for problems.
I've been having a lot of fun with Ryan in the Abomination Vaults campaign that he runs. He's a GM who knows how to keep the session rolling if things ever start to drag a little bit, who uses a lot of sounds and music to enhance the experience, and who is willing to fudge the dice in favor of the players to help keep things fun - though he's not afraid to completely demolish his players if they deserve it, either! Though I'm not a beginner tabletop gamer myself, the game that I joined was a beginner-friendly game, and I was able to appreciate how well Ryan helped the actual beginners through the initial road bumps. I would definitely recommend him for both veterans and for newbies!
Ryan is a joy to game with and my current Monday campaign is a highlight of my week! He has a great feel for pacing, storytelling and is adaptable to more off-the-rails developments that sometimes come his way. Welcoming and inclusive environment, every session is full of laughter and fun
Incredibly accommodating and flexible, Ryan helped ease me into both the group (with my social anxiety) and the rules (as I'm new to pf2e). His descriptions and NPC play were incredibly fun, and adapts for how our party dynamic ended up addressing RP and puzzles, acommodating for us wonderfully! He was also able to keep things progressing at a steady pace — and keep up with our bursts of fast-paced decisions. Having just completed Abomination Vaults, I can easily say this was the best campaign I've had the pleasure of playing in!
Character creation
Creating your character
We'll be using Gradual Ability Boost and the Feats+ Basic Pack (a few extra class and general feats to start things off). We'll have a conversation about whether we're starting at 1st or 2nd level. Regardless, initial item budget will be for a character of one level higher than the character's level.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need to join my Discord server and have a free Foundry Forge account to join the persistent cloud-hosted server I run the VTT on.
