About the adventure

⚙️ "Precain? Yeah, I’ve heard of it. City of haves and have-nots. Only question is, who’s who?"⚙️ Once known for its beauty and arcane innovation, the city of Precain was shattered by a war that ended generations ago, but its scars still bleed. Only two districts remain. The Gold District thrives on wealth, arcane tech, and ruthless politics. Lavish parties, sharp smiles, and subtle threats. The Silver District survives in the smog, gritty, desperate, and held together by loyalty. Gangs run the streets and people you can trust is worth more than anything. You survive here. Gold or Silver, it doesn’t matter. Precain is your home, and surviving it demands a price. One thing’s certain: Precain takes more than it gives. 💰 What Is This Campaign?💰 This is a beginner-friendly Daggerheart campaign where players will build deep, flawed characters and influence the world around them, helping define the city’s factions, villains, and power dynamics. Inspired by Arcane, Eberron, and Mistborn, City of Gold and Silver offers a rich setting where magic and technology intertwine. As a roleplay-first adventure, every puzzle, combat and NPC interaction serves to drive the narrative forward. Players will be free to steer the narrative, take things slow while learning the rules and immerse themself in a city where every character has their own story. 🗡️ What This Campaign Isn’t🗡️ This is not a combat grinder where every challenge is solved with a blade. While danger is always present, violence is just one of many tools, and not always the best one. I look forward to watching how you change the city, and how it changes you.

How to prepare

🌟 Players will need: A Discord account, internet and a mic (camera if they wish) and a Foundry VTT account. 🧙 All players need to have ready for Session 0 is a character concept and a skim of the rules if possible!

Gameplay details

During Session 0 we will go over greater detail of the safety tools, and a debriefing will happen with any player that starts after this Session 0. Lines and Veils will be kept anonymous unless specified otherwise and will be listed in an online document. X-Cards can be sent digitally directly to me, or to the group if comfortable. Stars and Wishes will happen at the end of each individual session.

How will character creation work

🗝️ Character creation will happen together at Session 0, and then on individual calls for any players that join after. I will guide each player through the process, all they need to have prepared is a vague character concept. 🧙 Characters will begin at level 1!
