Cool GM, they ran a quick 4 session adventure, but they were able to enable a good party dynamic within that timeframe while also showing multiple players who had never played PF2e before the ropes. Yet, the combat heavy tailend was both dynamic and tense, and still tough for an experienced player such as myself. We persevered in the end though.

Ryan is a GM who is a pleasure to play with. He shows genuine interest not just in making the vibe of your character work, but also in seeing how your build works out. He has a solid grasp of the rules, and most questions you have when making a character will be "here's how it works, I've been really interested to see that in play." In play he is happy to dole out circumstantial benefits as the situation demands, and to allow unorthodox solutions for problems.

I'm 6 sessions deep writing this review. So far we've had some very dangerous fights that came pretty close to the wire, some fights solved by smart choices, fights avoided entirely by role-play, A ton of exploration across extremely perilous terrain (cursed water so far has probably been the biggest threat, eclipsing monsters), found powerful lost magic in a world that seemed dead, and bargained with old powers. The DM has been generally an @ on discord away from answering questions I've had.
