Dan is a great GM with deep knowlege of the game systems he runs and is an absolute fan of the player characters. He makes sure everyone is having fun and gets their chance in the spotlight providing awesome interactions with beautifully detailed and interesting NPC's. Highly recommend playing with him.
I have played with Dan for +6 months now. His style of running games is very relaxed, focusing on the narrative and playing a game that will suit the wishes of the players. We are playing a heavily sandboxy game where each arc can be anything, and totally unrelated to the previous one in main themes. And Dan delivered each time, so he is a flexible and open minded GM. If you want to play a rules light, player centered narrative focused game, with a world with hundreds of NPCs then Dan is a good pick for you.
Dan is a phenomenal GM to play with. He’s engaging, creative, adaptable, and immersive—the campaign I’m in right now is so full of interesting and fun NPCs to interact with, and tons of little mysteries on top of the main plot. Getting to play in the world he’s created is a real treat, and it’s been amazing getting to know my own character’s place in it in the process since he leaves plenty of room to explore. He’s provided an even better experience than I expected, and I’m glad my first experience with StartPlaying has been with Dan as GM.
Dan created an immersive world that feels alive and encourages interaction and exploration. Each NPC has a unique personality, the storytelling is excellent, and the mysteries are intriguing. He sets the mood for each session, which makes me eagerly look forward to them. If you're up for great storytelling, a supportive yes-anding approach, and masterful improvisation, you've found your DM!
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session 0, following the typical rules. We will be using the Playtest version of abilities and all available official content is more than welcome. We'll discuss potential alternate rules like Zero Powers during session 0 as well.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a microphone, as well as a discord account, an account on The Forge and a web browser that can run Foundry. Reading the rules for Fabula Ultima is strongly encouraged, but I am more than willing to explain things as necessary.
What Daniel brings to the table
I will bring my love of RPG's, as well as a customized world we will build together during session 0! A fully set up Foundry will help us navigate the world together along with a cast of NPC's.

How Daniel creates a safe table
We will discuss the content warnings for this game, along with Lines and Veils during Session 0. Players are encouraged to take breaks as needed. X, N, and O can all be messaged to me privately for their usual purposes.
