Tales from the Scrapyard[art is Ai generated][beginner friendly]
The badlands stare at you with a desolate and bleak horizon-Dangers lurk around every corner of this world. will you survive to tell the tale?
About the adventure
What if the last war didn't lead to Eberron rising from the aftermath into a vibrant world? A desolate badland, survival of the fittest making way for raiders, rogue constructs running rampant, with a future not guaranteed, therefore leading those alive to live day by day. Major cities are now a place of mystery and danger drawing the adventurous and the desperate. This is a game loosely set in the wonderful world of Eberron. drawing inspiration from such media like Fallout, Mad Max the Mortal Engines, and the like. A arcanepunk world with elements of the wild west. This is a game for those that want to experience a world where guns and magic exists. This will be a homebrew campaign starting at level 1. If this is something that calls to you, than this campaign is for you! I hope to see you all there!

About me
Hello! I have been running games for about 10 years now. It has mainly been for those that are my friends. Since then I have made many new friends and now am a part of a group of fantastic gms that organize games at local conventions. I can try to use fancy words on what makes me different but I belive that if everyone is having fun games will be different and interesting in a organic way. I hope to see you all at my table and happy gaming!

Players say this GM is great at:
Rule of Cool
Teacher
Creativity
Jason is a more than capable DM, able to quickly introduce new players to setting and concepts and provides good insight into the concepts, themes, and ideas of characters than can help players explore their characters more, and has a lot of knowledge on various editions of DnD to draw inspiration from.
Character creation
Creating your character
For this Game we will be using the 2024 rules for Dungeons and dragons 5e. I like a balanced party but I will let the party play whatever they want. Any official content or 3rd party content is welcome. for stats we will be using standard array or Point buy. My dndbeyond content sharing is pretty full so any character options that i have access to I will be filling in for the players. Character creation will be discussed during session zero but I will ask the players to be thinking about what possible classes/roles/races they would like to be playing and have a few options in mind.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
materials needed from the players. 1. webcam is optional. but a good mic and headset/earphone is required. 2 Discord will be our primary chat platform for both chat and voice(If you don't have it please download it.) 3. a beyond20 extension should be dowloaded to your chrome browser or firefox browser. 4. A dndbeyond account is needed for character sheets. if for some reason a player absolutely refuses to use dndbeyond the sheet on roll20 will be defaulted to. 5. Character creation as mentioned in the gameplay section will be handled during session zero.(for this game I will be asking the players to have a main character plus two backup ideas for when PC dies.
What Jason brings to the table
Hello everyone! I as the GM will be providing a few resources to help enhance gameplay. First of all I have a roll20 account we will be using for the VTT. I also have a master tier dndbeyond account with most of the official dnd content unlocked with a smattering of 3rd party content as well. I will be using Token stamp to create custom tokens. A little bit about me as the gm. I am very fluid and flexible gm who believes in optimization doesn't equal broken play instead it enhances the story! Action and choices has consequences but there is no good or bad decisions as everything just builds on the story. I like to utilize combat into the storytelling as much as exploration or social interaction. The players drive the story as much as the GM does but I will occasionally railroad the plot for specific situations. I am also a very RAW for the most part but I also use the rule of cool almost as much if I believe it enhances the story better than RAW. I hope to see those who want to take this journey with me at my table and happy storytelling!
