Welcome to the world of Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, where power is fleeting and betrayal lurks behind every curtain. This campaign is crafted for players new to Dune 2d20—whether you're a longtime fan of the books, movies or stepping onto Arrakis for the first time. About me

I’m the Norse GM—also known as Jórekr or JK—a lifelong storyteller from the wild and myth-steeped lands of Scandinavia. I grew up surrounded by long winters, old forests, and the quiet magic of northern folklore, and I strive to bring that same sense of wonder and depth into every game I run. Roleplaying games have been my creative heartbeat for over a decade, offering a space to tell stories, share laughs, and explore the unknown together. I’ve run dozens of adventures and campaigns for players from all walks of life, and I’m passionate about welcoming newcomers just as much as challenging seasoned veterans. Outside the virtual table, I’m a laid-back, thoughtful presence—always happy to chat, help with character ideas, or just nerd out over game mechanics and lore. I'm usually available for games on weekday afternoons and evenings (CET/CEST). Feel free to reach out if you want to chat before joining the table—I'm always happy to talk games!

He is fun and knowledgeable about the rules. We have had a couple of sessions and they were all all lot of fun. He was well prepared and there was not a lot of downtime looking up rules etc.

Great use of maps and of Foundry VTT. Makes the game super fun and allows for player creativity. Not every encounter escalates to combat and he really gives social characters a chance to shine. He has made Dragonbane an immersive experience.

A wonderful GM that's very welcoming for new players and old, working with the players to weave their characters into the narrative and building on their backstories.

Character creation
Creating your character

In Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, all player characters serve a single noble House—one we’ll create together in Session Zero. You’ll help decide its domains, expertise, trait, and even enemies, which will shape the world and your role within it. Then, you’ll build a character who serves that House: a Scion of the House, Mentat Advisor, Bene Gesserit Agent, Swordmaster, Physician, Smuggler or Officer with their own drives and ambition. You can make a full character before play, or organically develop the character sheet details as the story unfolds. No deep Dune knowledge required—just bring a love for drama, intrigue, and roleplay.

✦ High-quality scenery and custom tokens designed to pull you straight into the world of Arrakis and beyond. Whether you're infiltrating a palace or riding a sandworm, you'll see the world unfold around you. ✦ Carefully curated ambient sounds and music to set the mood—whether you're navigating tense political negotiations or sharing a quiet drink in a spice market tavern. ✦ Scheming nobles, loyal retainers, and dangerous agents—each with unique goals and secrets. You’ll remember them… and they’ll remember you. ✦ Rules-light, story-rich. Bold moves, clever plans, and dramatic roleplay is rewarded. Rules support the story, so let’s make it happen.

Safety
How The Norse GM creates a safe table

This game explores themes like politics, ecology, religion, and fate—but it will always do so with care, respect, and clear boundaries. We’ll start with a collaborative Session Zero to set expectations, establish tone, and define boundaries as a group. I use multiple safety tools, including: ✦ Deck of Player Safety – A quick and anonymous method to signal hot-button topics players want excluded from their gaming experience. ✦ X-Card – A simple, immediate way to pause and revise scenes that cross a line. ✦ Half-Time Break – 10 minute break to give everyone time to reset and decompress. ✦ Debriefing – A chance to reflect and make sure everyone’s feeling good about the direction the game is moving. All players are encouraged to speak up or check in at any time. This is a collaborative, respectful space, and your enjoyment—both in and out of character—is a top priority.
