About me
Hello everyone! I am a DM with over 6 years experience running games and over 10 years actively playing games; I am primarily going to be focusing on D&D 5E however I may expand into FATE. I have tons of experience in teaching people to play so newcomers be welcome! I pride myself in pulling from history and while I try to add lots of depth to my games but I also love putting in a good bit of humor as well as drawing from the pop and nerd culture I have seen. So grab your dice, and lets roll!

I have been a player in Mike's campaigns for years. They are well thought out, interesting, and pull from the real world. They incorporates various interests for gamers and nerds, and the various/sporadic pop culture references keep it entertaining. Definitely a good time and not something to be missed.
MikeO is one of the main reasons I started playing D&D (5e) and continue to do so today. Let me explain; in college I played a lot of video games, but I was never a big fan of board games, having played a great deal of them but never really feeling the need to play them for more than one game or so with friends. Than I met Mike. He was polite, kind, and stated he was looking for players to start a game. So I thought "okay, I'll try it and if I hate it I'll stop." This was one of the best decisions of my life, seriously, I met up every weekend with similar (but not always the same) players and it was the most interactive, forgiving, and relaxing times during my sophomore year to the very end of my senior year in college. The people who I played with still keep in touch with me despite the fact that I graduated in 2019 (it is currently July of 2021) and I am still playing D&D today. Mike is a very patient DM, he is willing to work with the players to get them both comfortable playing and expressing yourself during the game (within reason). The goal of his games are to be immersed in the world so you will be invested and interested, along with of course having fun. He is an excellent DM for both beginners and veteran players, great with combat and storytelling (which is really important for DMs), but most importantly he will make sure the players are having fun. I will not only recommend him, I will also tell you that if you haven't played a game with MikeO you will be missing out on experiencing his fun gaming style and an amazing opportunity to properly play D&D to its fullest potential.
I have been playing with Mike for years outside of SPG and on and I have been loving the games he runs. He is a talented storyteller and you can just see the passion he has in his work. He is a very chill and open minded man who really takes the players vision of their character into consideration. All in all he is one of the best DMs I have had the privilege of playing with.
I have been playing Michael's homebrew game for years. This man is one of the best GM's I've met in 11 years. I look forward to every session and our party has periodically begged him to let sessions go long over time. Mike will show you the best parts of pop-culture references, along side thoughtful historical data, expansive lore, and a deep understanding of the responsibilities of a DM in terms of creating a complex story. If you are looking at this review, wondering if Mike is a good GM for you, this is the recommendation you are looking for! SIGN UP, you will not regret!
