About the adventure

This is a campaign for players who want to get their hands dirty. Your characters are criminals. Not misunderstood rogues with hearts of gold, but people doing what it takes to survive, score, and maybe, just maybe, win. You'll be working for the underbelly of the biggest city in Eberron. Sharn is a densely populated city made up entirely of towers all so tightly packed and connected it takes two hours to get across town. All if the big crime families, The Boromar Clan, The Tyrants, even Daask, they all want in on figuring out who this new fixer in town is, the one who's flyer your characters will be responding to. All it asked was for "Individuals of Dubious Morality" and asked for "No Mages" without much clarity of what separated Mages from Druids or Bards. All you know is that it's going to be quite a contest based off how packed the tavern the flyer told you to meet at. While the game is designed for characters at Level 3, it can easily accommodate Level 1 characters as well, should you prefer to start your journey from the ground up. If you're craving a raw, uphill climb in a city full of danger, I've got you covered. Don’t worry if you’re new to D&D, I am more than happy to teach the ropes! Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned veteran, we’ll make sure you’re ready to dive into the adventure.

About me

I'm a storyteller-first GM with a dramatic edge and a love for the weird that can come from exploring the decisions made at the table. Expect rich character arcs, morally grey decisions, and probably a few weird names. I bring a mix of improvisation and structured planning, tailored to player input. I don’t railroad, but I do drop breadcrumbs. I value character-driven narratives, emergent moments, and creating emotional stakes that actually stick.

Proficiencies

Players say this GM is great at:

Creativity

Inclusive

Storytelling

Quinn is a very animated and descriptive story teller. He uses different voices and mannerisms to distinguish NPC’s clearly and with depth. Quinn is flexible with players and their creativity while still maintaining a sense of cohesion and law. Very safe and inclusive and all around a very pleasant GM to have.

Quinn is a great GM that I’ve known for years. His games are always super fun and engaging; often with interesting twists and takes on existing settings and lore. He tries hard to include player backstories into the plot. I would 100% recommend giving his games a shot

A GM of atmosphere, narrative and character interactions, cares about keeping the narrative and its outcomes consistent. Expect good and serious RPing. Sometimes Quienten's games can get a little off track due to character frivolity, but things find a way back. Quinten will certainly make sure that your game will be deep, narratively rich and enjoyable, and they will always put in the work to ensure that. I can't think of a more consistent and caring GM.

Knows the system well, does there prep work, really cares about the story, and making sure everyone gets time in the spotlight. Stylistically not very strict, which means no railroading, and players can control the pace, which is a bit of a double edged sword depending on the number of players. Would play with again.

Character creation
Creating your character

I prefer to have a free session zero to cover character creation, where I get to know you and your characters a bit before the ball starts rolling. In this campaign, you'll be starting at level 3, so your characters will have a little experience under your belts. I am also open to adjusting it to a level 1 game, should you be unfamiliar with the system. Stats will be rolled, and you may consult any books with information on Eberron, but don't expect to find that everything is the same as what you read!

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Accounts: You’ll need an account on Roll20 and Discord, as well as a mic for voice communication. Character Sheets: If you already have a character sheet, great! Feel free to bring it along, but please expect me to ask plenty of questions to get to know your character and to roll for stats. D&D Beyond: If you use D&D Beyond, it's welcome, but not required. If you don't have an account, don’t worry, we can work with whatever system you're most comfortable with. Expect Questions: Be ready to dive deep into your character’s backstory, motivations, and quirks. I love getting to know your characters, and it will help enrich the game experience! Roleplay Focus: This game will have plenty of roleplaying, choices with consequences, and moral ambiguity. Think about how your character would navigate a corrupt, dangerous city like Sharn. Get your gear, your wits, and your character ready. Sharn is a dangerous place—only the crafty and the bold survive here.

What Quentin GM brings to the table

I run cinematic, character-driven games where choices matter and consequences linger. I’m not here to railroad you or babysit a party of lone wolves. Expect moody soundtracks, evocative descriptions, and NPCs with motives deeper than their stat blocks. I use Roll20, can bring custom maps and tokens, and favor “Rule of Cool” over pedantic rule lawyering. If you're unfamiliar with the game, I will help with any questions you may have about the systems or world.

Safety
How Quentin GM creates a safe table

I come out of session zero understanding what your triggers might be, what topics to avoid, who your characters are, and how we're going to make a story about them.
